Congratulations, Ozzie and all you White Sox! We are so proud of the mental toughness, concentration, and effort that you put forth to get us our American League pennant! You did it! My first Sox game as a seven year-old was in 1959...and now i feel like a kid again because of what you have accomplished! Good luck in the World Series...I will be rooting for you and hanging on EVERY pitch. You have brought joy to my heart! - Curtis Shedlak...Bloomington, Indiana

Thanks to all of the White Sox for such a great season. Every opening day that I walk into the park I hope that this will be the year and it has happened. I am so happy and so excited and glad that I am a White Sox fan and that I was there this season to experience this.
I have been a Sox fan my whole life (35 years!!!) and this has been the best season ever.
Good Luck!

Congratulations!! Thank you to each and every one of you - you have given your fans a great season and an even more exciting October! This is like a dream. Every game I went to this season has been exciting and fun, and this season has just blown my mind.
This is my first Sox World Series and I am probably just about as excited as each of you. I will be hanging onto every pitch, every out and every homerun this coming week.
Good luck - not that you need it - and remember to enjoy every minute of it!
Don't stop believing!!!!

What a year! Thanks for making it so much fun. The playoffs have been fantastic--we've watched every pitch. My mother grew up in Bridgeport and raised us as Sox fans, even though we lived on the north side. I know she's rallying the troops in heaven for the World Series title. Thanks for playing every day with true team spirit. GO WHITE SOX!

Congrats guys!
You are an amzing ballclub who has shown a lot of heart this entire season. Every single one of you has contributed to help get to where you are now. Nothing beats the experience of a baseball game but you guys have magnified that feeling tenfold. I wish you the best of luck in the Series and no matter what the turnout is (you will win).....you will be true champions in my book!!

What more can I say than congrats and thank you! I have never been so excited for any of "my" sports teams as I have been for the Sox this season, and especially this past week.
I grew up in NW Indiana in an extended family pretty equally divided between the Sox and the Cubs. I've always been proud to be a Sox fan, no matter what your record! In grade school, my cousin and I always seemed to be the only Sox fans in the class. But we always won our arguement of who was better with our favorite zinger, "Whose won more Windy City Classics?".
Thank you again for letting you fans share in and enjoy the celebration! What's say we go all the way? GO SOX!!!

My favorite player, since Day 1 of the season, has been Joe Crede. I guess I always liked those shy types (I know you keep saying you're not really shy, especially with a bat in your hand). My favortie cheer for you is Go Go Joe from Joseph & The Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat (if you send me an email I would love to send you an mp3 of the song). And when we need a hit my cheer is "C'mon Joe, I know you can do it, we need you" and I think you must hear me, all the way from Media, PA. But I will be right at home in Section 139 tomorrow, back in Sweet Home Chicago. Love You All, Ellen

Hello and congratulations to my team.....who am I...well if someone actually reads this who is associated with the White Sox, I am a 58 year old female who was born in Chicago and have been blessed with the love of baseball from my 86 year old father and his father before him. Now I only lived in Chicago a few years and when we moved to PA, radio stations were few and far between and most people in the neighborhood were Yankees fans. One could go up the streets (well there were only 2) but could hear Yankees games. I stuck to the White Sox all my years and a few times when we were kids my dad took us to Yankee Stadium but only when the White Sox were playing what used to be double headers!!! My memories!!!!
I only wish that someday I can actually get to Chicago to see a game....would be nice if could be next season when you are World Champs!!!!
Thanks and good luck to you all!!!!

Wow...this has by far been the most exciting baseball season ever and I've been watching since the day I was born, almost 21 years ago! Die hard Sox fan from the beginning and nothing can describe this state of euphoria I have been in since the playoffs started. Congratulations to all of you, it's been a magical season and I am so proud of everyone. There's no doubt in my mind that this is our year and you guys will finally get the glory and the props you deserve. Wish I could be there to witness this in person but I will be watching every pitch of every game until that trophy is in the best city ever, Chicago! Love you guys, Nicole Yonker, Orlando, Florida.

Congratulations to Ozzie and the whole team. I am a White Sox fan in a family of Cubs fans. I've always been proud to be a Sox fan, even when it wasn't always easy. I'm from the Chicago area but I was away at college in New Orleans when the hurricane hit. Hurricane Katrina HAS brought me one piece of happiness and that is the fact that I get to be in Chicago when the Sox play in the World Series. This season has brought so much joy into my baseball life and I just want to say "Thank You." Like always, I'm rooting for you guys all the way. Bring the World Series championship home to Chicago!

Dear Ozzie,
I've been a fan of yours since I was a kid, clipped out the newspaper articles and had my dad get me an authentic jersey with Guillen/13 on the back. My girlfriends and I went to the games and held up signs for you...it's sooo amazing to see you come back as the manager for the Sox. You rock!
To the players and coaches:
Cora and Raines...hard not to see you guys on the field with Guillen for this, but great job! To the players, WOW!! Best of success to you in the World Series...we'll be saying our prayers and cheering you on every step of the way. GO SOX!!!

If you look at Wednesday, Oct 12th edition of the SunTimes you'll see my featured story about no MVP for Sox, just the whole team. I am so proud of you guys and the whole Sox Organization. The city of Chicago is really with this team too. Jay Mariotti, that's another story. One day a week he's with us and six days he's against us. The main thing is the Fans are hoping and wishing you win the World Series. Start by lighting up the "Rocket"(Roger Clemens) and then tell Houston they have a problem. I wish I could be at the games. We need a theater or arena to watch the games together. Go Sox Carl Rollberg, Calumet Park, Il

The only regret that I have with you GREAT bunch of guys winning the Pennant was that my mother and Uncle Jimmy aren't here with us to enjoy it. Your victory brought tears of joy to a lot of us who were brought up on the Go-Go White Sox. Win or lose we are with you 100%, we'd prefer a win in the WS but regardless of the outcome we know that you will give it your all for every at bat, every pitch and every put out. Godspeed to Our Chicago White Sox! Let's show the rest of the country exactly what this Great team is made of.

WOOHOO SOX!!!
The White Sox are a team I inherited from my grandfather. He was a huge fan and we used to go to games in the 70's. As I grew up, I never got into sports, they bored me.
Mid series I started watching for nostalgic reasons thinking of my grandpa and how happy he'd be to see the Sox playing so well.
After 37 years of life, I am no longer a Sox fan by inheritance, I am one by proud choice! Watching you guys play has not only given me extreme excitement in baseball, it's brought me back to a comfortable home.
CONGRATULATIONS in your long overdue championship........but you aren't done...........World Series, guys.............you're already winners, these next games are just a formality!!!

I grew up on 35th & Oakley. When I was in grade school my friends and I would ride the 35th Street Bus and sit in the bleacher seats for $1.00 a seat. We would get there early to watch batting practice, wave our white sox and throw bubble gum to the outfielders. I have been waiting for this moment all my life. There is nothing that would give White Sox fans greater pleasure than for this team to win the World Series. Thank you Ozzie and the entire White Sox Team for making this a season to remember. Congrats! This season has been an amazing one, obviously. I am a huge fan of every single one of you guys. I also want to say congrats to Blum, A.J., Freddy, Crede, and Paulie for the new additions to their familes. This has got to be a heck of a year for all of you. Keep it up guys! I love going to class and having cubs fans wanting to avoid talking to me, as I recieved alot of lip for not rooting for the cubs. I guess that happens when you live in the north suburbs. I have loved you guys all 17 years of my life and i will not forget this year! I will be at Sox fest too! So again congrats on the season and lets bring home the win.
I also want to say congrats on the ALCS MVP Paulie! I've been a huge fan of yours since i got your autograph at Sox Fest back in 2001. You are my favorite player and i always look forward to watching you every season. Again, congrats on the MVP and the new baby.

Congratulations Ozzie and the entire White Sox team. I couldn't even begin to pick a favorite player because you have all done your part to make up the chemistry of this great team. I grew up in the Chicago area, then married & moved to New York where I have now lived for 27 years. I have remained a die-hard Sox fan and felt something special about this year all along. I've seen many games at Yankee Stadium cheering for the Sox of course. Ozzie, I was lucky enough to attend Seaver's 300th win at Yankee Stadium and witness you as shortstop when that same year you were voted Rookie of the Year. Twenty years later you are my frontrunner to win Manager of the Year. And how sweet it is that my first White Sox favorite, Little Louie, is throwing out the first pitch in the first World Series game. Good luck Ozzie, players, coaches and all of the Sox organization. Thank you all for an unforgettable ride so far and if this World Series ends the way all of us Sox fans are hoping, you will hear my screams all the way from New York!

Oh man, what can i say. first of all, i should mention that i am from the north side of Chicago, and my house is like ten minutes from Wrigly, But i been a SOX FAN since day one of me being here in Chicago. I love our SOX because they entertain us, they have so many comeback victories , they show us the great way of pitching, and they show us how the offense should be. i hate the Cubs not because they wear blue, or because they are the drinkers, but i hate the cubs because they play little league baseball that doesn't fit my style. I love the SOX BECAUSE THEY PLAY MY STYLE OF PLAYING BASEBALL, THE WINNING AND ENTERTAINING STYLE OF BASEBALL....what a great year we had with our great players, and ofcourse the great maneger(Ozzie) and general maneger (Ken) that we have.. I have been a Sox fan since 1956, when Luis Aparicio was rookie of the year. I was to young to remember to much about the 1959 series, but I will be glued to this one. Aparicio was my idol when I was growing up, probably because I was shortest guy on all the teams I played on, but now I have been rooting for the big guy Frank Thomas since he first started playing. I wish that Frank could at least pinch hit once in the series it would mean a lot to me and I know it would mean more to him, and I really hope that the Sox have him back next year and always as a Sox. Enough for now, Go Sox, Go Go Sox of 2005. Frank Hill, Norfolk Virginia.

Congrats to my favorite baseball team in the world! I've been a Sox fan ever since I can remember. I've been there for the 'bad' years and it's so much fun now to be a Sox fan! It's been worth the wait and all harassment I've received through the years!

To Ozzie and the entire White Sox team,
I'm a 13-year old diehard Yankee fan (we live in New York). My mom's been a White Sox fan since she was 9 and has stuck with you guys the whole time. We actually had ALCS tickets to see the Yankees vs. White Sox at Yankee Stadium if the Yanks would have advanced. My second favorite team's the Chi Sox and I always root for you when you're not playing the Yanks. You've got a really great team this year and I'm pulling for you to go all the way. Your pitching staff is amazing, your defense is astounding, and your clutch hitting is incredible. You guys really deserve to win this year. Go-Go White Sox!!

THANK YOU WHITE SOX!!!!!!
This team has given Chicago just what it's needed for a long, long, long time!!
My 11-year-old son and I are huge fans of the team. We attended the 2004 SoxFest and were able to meet a lot of the players. I have to say that Aaron Rowand was SUPER NICE to my son. Then I heard an interview recently where Aaron talked about his mom struggling to get him to practices and how she and his step-dad are his heroes. As a single mom with a little boy who LOVES baseball (and football), that really hit home with me!!!!
This team has given kids something to look forward to and love and get excited about, and that keeps them off the streets and out of trouble!!
GO-O-O-O-O WHITE SOX!!!!!
Thank you and good luck, Aaron!! Brenda & Tyler

Congrats to ALL.
Ozzie, you are not crazy risking things that way, we are used to play THAT WAY in our own Latin leagues, isn't? And, hey, you have the guys to do it for you, no doubt.
I am probably the only human being watching the games in Spain, and as that girl from Netherlands, I have also falled asleep a couple of times, but man, thanks for giving me the most thrilling moment in my life:
Fenway park, Game 4 ALDS, bases loaded, no outs, one run lead, and…El Duque coming to pitch… (I was crossing fingers here for you to call him, I swear) He’s my main man, my idol, de Industriales...BIG GAMES PITCHER is his second name, and he proved again, he did what he used to do for us every time, WIN, sometimes against Contreras, now they are together (you have no idea how much I hated Contreras pitching for Pinar del Rio vs. my Industriales, but he does), now I root for him too there in the Chi Sox… He’s been GREAT… Go Go White Sox .....

CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!
This is going to be one of the longest nights in my life, as the anticipation of actually watching OUR Chicago White Sox in the world series continues to grow. It has been a fun, frustrating (at times), and emotional season for us all. To the Sox, Thank you. You have brought something that many of us never thought we would see in our lifetimes. This is something special, something precious that we should all share and treasure with fellow Sox fans near and far!

To the classiest bunch of guys ever to don a White Sox uniform:
Where to begin? A simple thank you doesn't convey the emotion I feel for you guys this year. I have had a HELLISH year. I lost my job, my marriage ended, my uncle died and my dad has just begun chemotherapy for leukemia. I only tell you this because you have been the only reason for me to smile since April. I have been a White Sox fan all my life, but I have never been overwhelmed by any one group as I have this year.
Ozzie, you are a class act. Plain and simple. You must come back next year, even if we win. You are too important to too many people to leave us now.
Kenny, fantastic job putting together an unbelievable team.
AJ, controversy or no controversy, you can play on my team any day. You are "just what the doctor ordered," as my grandfather used to say. Thanks for your fire. Thanks for your enthusiasm. Thanks for the outstanding job you've done with our pitching staff. Congratulations to you and your wife on little "AJ."
Paulie, you represent everything a White Sox player should be: a great athlete, a true role model and a strong leader. PLEASE come back next year. Thanks for everything. Congratulations to you and your wife on your first-born.
Juan, what an arm! Thanks for your unbelievable defense!
Joe - Mr. Clutch! You truly are amazing. Thanks for coming through for us so many times in key situations. Congratulations to you and your wife on the birth of your daughter.
Jermaine, you are my 85-year-old grandmother's "sweetie." Maybe you can hit one out for her...Thanks for being such a gentleman.
Aaron, watching you in center field has been a highlight of the season for me. Gold glove all the way. Thanks for all the thrills.
Mark, thanks for your smile and your big heart. It's definitely contagious and something I really needed this year. Oh, yeah, and fantastic pitching, too!
Big Bobby Jenks, you are REALLY AWESOME! I'm not big on that word, but it sure fits. Thanks for all your ninth inning heroics. Watching you pitch is nothing short of electrifying.
Last but not least, Scotty. I'm speechless.
I will NEVER forget every last one of you. No matter what happens. No matter who comes back next year and who doesn't. You have all had a deep impact on me and you will remain special to me forever.
Thanks for the memories. Thanks for the excitement. Thanks for putting a smile on my face, especially at a time when I needed it most.

Congratulations White Sox of Twenty-o-Five!! This means more to this great city, my family, friends, and me personally than anything. I had people laugh at me when I said in February that the White Sox would go to the playoffs and progress to the World Series and WIN IT ALL!!! I just knew it all along. I have had this feeling all this year even before spring training. I get teary eyed and chills flow through me when I think about what my heros have accomplished. Of all the years that we have to be living in France!!!!
My husband has been a die-hard fan of the Sox since his days as a small dinosaur watching them in Sarasota (he saw Frank in the minors!!)--I joined him when we got together 4 years ago and he gave me hours and hours of history and stories. Now we both live and die by the Sox!!
At the very beginning of the '04 season I turned to my husband and said:
"The Red Sox will win the World Series this year and the White Sox will win it in 2005." Swear to God!
You cannot imagine how much we are freaking out all alone here in our tiny French village at 2:30am every game day! Thank god for MLB.com TV!!!!! And thank god for Rooney and Farmer and Hawk and DJ!!
AND THANK GOD FOR THE WHITE SOX!!! ALL OF YOU!!!!
You are going to do it!!!
YOU ARE GOING TO WIN THE WORLD SERIES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Imagine it's your first game of little league ball. As you run out to your position you can't help but notice the smell of the grass, the dirt and your new leather glove. Your heart is pounding. The blood rushes to your face. Sweat drips into your eyes and you wipe it away as you focus on the batter. SWING. CRACK. You are in motion, on your toes, scooping the ball and rifling it to first. OUT. You silently think "YES!" and get ready to do it again.
I remember those days. On off days from playing ball I'd perch down in the living room and watch the Sox and Cubs. Of course I pretended to be various players on the 1983 team. Fisk was my favorite. Those were Good Ole' Days. Days of Winning Ugly.
Fast forward to 2005. I've seen my fair share of games when the losses were plain ugly. What does this 2005 team have that makes them think they can Win Or Die Trying? Sure, the pitching staff is remarkable. 4 complete games! Uribe probably has the fastest soft hands in baseball right now. The outfielders slam themselves into the wall to prevent balls from leaving the park, barely avoiding bodily injury. Bats like Konerko's and Everett's and Thomas' swing with authority and cause opposing pitchers to shake in their cleats. So they can play... As I've seen in the past, talent alone does not a champion make.
It is when a group of talented champions come together and lend to each other not only their abilities but their guts, their hearts. It is when their manager and coaches care enough to put themselves on the line for the team. Coaches who know what it's like to be out there, on the same hallowed ground. Guys who have a vested interest in the team. Guys who once played on the very SAME team.
It takes the coming together of all of these champions. To do so with class, with respect for the game of baseball, respect for themselves and for each other.
How did these guys, these 2005 ALCS Champions win? I think that's obvious. I bet these guys could tell you what the field sounds like under their feet on a crisp spring day. Now, this group of men from the 2005 ALCS Championship White Sox team will know what it's like to play on a wet, cold, blustery day in October. Congrats to all of the Sox heros. Thanks for giving this 3rd generation Sox fan a new set of Good Ole Days with which to teach my children, the next generation of Sox fans, an appreciation of the game and how it is meant to be played.

All I can say is thank you.
My great-grandfather saw the Sox win the series in 1917 and my family has been loyal to the White Sox ever since. White Sox baseball is a thread that binds my entire family together and my children are well on their way to becoming die-hard Sox fans. I went to my first Sox game in 1976 and this has definitely been the best season I've experienced. This team has captured my heart like no other and I'll never forget what you've given us.
On behalf of Sox fans past and present, a simple and heartfelt thank you.

TO ALL THE WHITE SOX:
First of all,I have to thank my Dad Frank, for teaching me how to be a good loser and baseball fan at the same time, as I spent most of my youth and weekends at Comiskey Park growing up.
It's too bad that he didn't live long enough to see this day with me, but I know that he is proudly watching down upon ALL OF YOU.
What you have done this year is beyond words, but the dream isn't over until you bring home the World Series Title to all of the fans in Chicago and beyond.
I have seen our teams of the 60's, the 70's (shorts?), the "Winning Ugly" in the 80's, the 90's where we got shorted on the season.
I have seen great White Sox players in my time, but nothing as cohesive as you, the 2005 TEAM. There I said it..Team! And there is no I in team.
You have all pitched in, and did what needed to be done to bring home an American League Championship. Now it's time to kick A^% and take names later.
I've got a ton of White Sox stuff on walls, hidden in closets, and places you would not believe. A lot of this stuff was before some of you were born. Thats how long I have waited for this day to come to pass.
As you step onto the field at the "Cell" Saturday, you will be living the dreams of White Sox fans both living and passed on, and these people will not let you down.
THIS IS OUR YEAR!

I wrote one of those essays trying to get tickets for the world series any way i could... no luck.
I thought it was pretty good though. written friday the 14th after game 3 of the alcs.
You think about it early. Like back in May. You talk to your friends about it. Pretend matchups for the first series. Mark and Jon at home, then Freddy on the road, we told one another. How can you top that?
You know what you're going for, even in May. You watch all the games and can just see the potential. You look at the record and the standings. You know what you're trying to do. You know it...
But you can't see it.
And we just kept rolling through July. We even got Scotty into the All-Star game. Mark got the win. The AL team gets homefield advantage for the World Series. You think of it again.
Mark and Jon at home, Freddy on the road. Could it be?
Then came August 1st. My birthday, actually... Yes, really. We won, though Mark was abruptly tossed. We all looked at the schedule back in April. This month seemed like the tough one to get through from the start. And it was that. We all know how it went.
September began with a 7 game winning streak, but it didn't seem to be like it was. Fluke? Choke? How could this be? Jose became the ace. How did it come to this?
The club was tense. We were tense. What happened to the magic? For 4 months we were simply the best team I've ever had the pleasure of watching. A breaking news story after Dustin gave up his first run. Jon's back to back complete game shoutouts. AJ's homer against the Dodgers.
But that was then, and now we needed a lift. We needed something to help us get back on our feet. Then let's catch our breath, and go back to being that club we all saw before.
So, I called my brother. "Can you get us 4 tickets for Tuesday's game against the tribe? Upper-reserved. I'll get Matt to work for me." He didn't say anything right away. I figured I needed to add something extra, you know, to really sell it to him. "Buehrle's pitching."
The game was... tense. Back and forth. We had chances to put it away and just couldn't. But then it came. The lift. I watched the Comcast replay the next day to hear Hawk's call. I had to. "Joe Crede! Joe Crede! JOE CREDE!"
We got back to our feet. And the magic seemed to return. Now, we're just 2 wins away from going to the show. We've got Freddy and Jose on the road, and should that not be enough, what else? Mark and Jon at home.
You think about it back in May, but seeing it's so much better.
In September, the men's league my friend's and I bowl on started. We needed a name for our team. It wasn't too long before it clicked.
"Crede's Crew"

Wow! What a year for the White Sox and the devoted White Sox fans!
I just finished reading all the comments on the message board and I must say they were just astounding. Many of them touched my heart.
How can I say something about the White Sox that hasn't been said already. It doesn't matter if something gets repeated because as far as I'm concerned, it can't be repeated enough. You guys deserve every compliment, encouragement and congratualations that is posted. I am still in shock I think. For so many years I had to deal with the constant jeers of people saying the White Sox would never make it to the World Series and the Cubs will get there before the White Sox ever will. Well, let me tell you, revenge is so SWEET!
I have been a White Sox fan my whole life, even when it wasn't cool to be a White Sox fan. I am so very proud of each and every one of you guys and how well you all play together.
Back in April I was telling guys at work that the White Sox were going to go all the way this year. Thank You, Thank You, Thank You for a great season and for providing all of us White Sox fans with so much joy this year.
I was at the game this year that lasted 1 hour and 39 minutes with my 3 sons. Buehrle was on that mound and did an absolutely fantastic job. I knew just from standing there on the first base line right next to that foul pole watching that game on that day, this was going to be there year.
I can't say enough about a team that consists of mostly former White Sox players for their coaching staff.
Now let's go out there and make quick work of those PESKY ASTROS, light up another cigar and spray the champagne because this is OUR YEAR. DON'T STOP BELIEVING!!

I've been a Sox fan for all of my 35 years, and want to say way to go Ozzie and the Boys! KW and Ozzie did a great job of putting together a TEAM, and this entire season has been quite a ride. Four more wins is all it takes!

My uncle, who was born in 1959 and recently passed away, was one of the most loyal White Sox fans that I had ever come across. He waited anxiously each and every baseball season for the White Sox to advance to the World Series. I can FEEL him smiling down on you ALL from the heavens above.
I would like to say thank you and congratulations to the 2005 Chicago White Sox on their post-season success. It has been a tremendous season-long ride up to this point and I have every bit of confidence that you guys will make it a memorable and exciting World Series as well. You have made the city of Chicago proud with your ALCS achievement! Now bring that World Championship trophy home to the South Side of Chicago where it has been missing for quite some time. 4 MORE BABY!!!!!!!!!!
This one is for you Chip! I wish you were here!

I'm sure you've heard it all before, but you're about to hear it again. I've grown up a Chicago White sox fan. If you ask me what this organization is about - to me it's family. My amazing realtionship with my father is based on our white sox pride. This team is unbelievable, as a first year season ticket holder it's been a season I couldn't possibly ever forget. This team has completely transformed itself into old school baseball, doing all the little things. What has impressed me is that this team has stood behind it's marketing from day one - win or die trying, that's exactly what each and every player has done. This team is family, the way each and every person pulls for each other. My dad tells me about sitting and watching the 1959 team, his loves range from Luis Aparicio to Al Lopez. My white sox pride is watching him watch this team win. As a student away from school, our conversations last about 45 minutes talking purely about baseball (And this is with a man that doesn't like to talk on the phone!) There will be no greater moment than watching you celebrate like little boys on that field...four more wins, and of course being able to call my dad.

My only regret is that my Dad died in February of 2005 and he is not here to enjoy this! He lived in Bridgeport his whole life and loved the SOX!!
I believe that he's been watching over them all season and will continue to do so now! He and the rest of the SOX fans are so proud and wish
all the players and coaches the strength and courage to see us to 4 more wins and a world championship.

Thank you all so much for what you have done not just for Chicago, but especially for the White Sox fans. The aspect of team chemistry mostly comes to my mind when I think about all you guys. I've never seen ANY team through my 18 years (always diehard Sox fan) look as good together as you all do. It's an amazing feeling to see you out there. It feels like I'm watching my friends play. Keep up the great work and bring us back that 2005 World Series Trophy!

What an amazing year.
I was born in Chicago and became a sox fan by watching night games (when I was supposed to be sleeping) as a kid. My family has always been Cub fans but I remained loyal. I spenst nearly two decades in the army and always followed my team no matter where I found myself. Now I am in Denver and am thrilled to be witnessing my team on the verge of winning it all. I have many favorite players but the entire pitching staff, both starters and relievers, have been thrilling from the start. I hope that we can keep this team together and do it all again next year!

I have never been so proud of a Sports Team in my entire life! I watched all six Bulls championships and was thrilled for that but that was NOTHING compared to watching my favourite team go to the World Series! My son is seven and has got it all sorted...he's said with complete confidence "If the Sox can beat Boston they can beat the Angels. And if they can beat the Angels the Astros.....who are they?" lol GO GO WHITE SOX! Good luck and know that our hearts are with you all the way! Ozzie you ROCK man!

Well Well it look as if the white *** are going to the world series, notice i said going because thats all there going to do is go. The astros are going to dominate this little weak team full of a bunch of nobodys, and one has been (thomas). The only thing i have to say is the only other team that would have made the *** look worst than there gonna look is my very own CHICAGO CUBS A REAL BASEBALL TEEM. HA HA.

I've been a Sox fan since my first glimpse of Robin Ventura (thank you Robin for drawing me into this) at age 7, and even though I grew up in the NW suburbs (definitely Cubs territory), I've never wavered in my devotion to the South Siders.
This season has been amazing, but it's not over yet. Go out there and show everyone what you are made of. We're with you all the way.
I will be at Game 2 proudly cheering you on to victory!
Love to all you!

Reading all this made me teary. I live near Springfield, Illinois.. definitely Cubs/Cards territory and I must say.. Cards fans are complete jerks in comparison. All the cub fans in my office changed their hats to black/white! Cards fans called us cheaters and such (after that umpire issue) That being said, the Cub fans I know are wonderful people and we do have quite a bit of their support.
On to better things.. I can't pinpoint one person or one moment that outshines another. I love you all, your long hair, you're attitudes, your smiles and you're laughter. Ozzie, you crack me up when you're being interviewed! :) Let's do this one for all of Chicago and all of the folks in Heaven that are watching this with literally stars as their eyes! My father for one, who's ashes are with you as you play tonight, was as diehard as they come. My love goes out to all of you and your families! Good Luck!

now boston fans know how we feel. we've waited longer and put up with more than boston has ever had to deal with. they don't have another team in their town to deal with. GO SOX!!! this is our year, since day one. wire-to-wire division champs. sweep defending champs and manhandle the yankee slayers. the four horsemen will lead us to the title. denfense and pitching are the most important parts to a title... we got that AND the timely hitting. this will be a great birthday present and something my dad and i can enjoy for the rest of our lives.

Congrats to all the White Sox! My mother and I have been Sox fans for ages and we couldn't be prouder of the team. I have stayed a Sox fan, even though I left the area to go teach overseas in Africa. I miss going to all the games, but have followed the season over the internet and have enjoyed the late nights. The lack of sleep has been completely worth it! Long time White Sox fan, I am so proud. Funny White Sox incident just happened. I was at a presentation for securities sales and trading, and one of the speakers mentioned that he was a big white sox fan. Later on in his presentation he said his pet peave was people who wore white sox with a suit, and wrote on the board "no white sox!" so I said "does that say 'no white sox,' or does that say, GO WHITE SOX!" The man couldn't stop laughing, at the perfect moment some Astros fans boo'ed. I ended up getting a healthy recommendation for the company. Sweet!

Beyond Crede's heroics on the field and at the plate -- as well as the magnficient work of Contreras, Cotts, & Jenks -- any presentation of Game 1 highlights wouldn't be complete without the hit and run in the second inning with Rowand moving Everett over to second then beyond. Everett's running with the pitch drew second-baseman Biggio out of position. A slow grounder that would have normally been a sure double play ball trickled in to short right.
And yes, the bullpen is ready.

Being a die hard White sox fan and a life long chicago fan this has been awesome, and i dont mean in like i'm not being serious at all... I've tried to get tickets and I would spend up to 300 for one game but in my luck i cant find one seller. just to show you how much these rich people really want to see you guys, because of how storied this franchise is. I do like the publicity for my team, but if I can't make it to a World Series game i feel like I let the team down. I'm sorry, and because of you guys I'm throwing parties at my house every day since the first playoff game. You guys taught me again that playing the game right gets you places, hard, fast, pitching and defense gets you further than hitting 240 home runs.

In the summer of 1975, just after **** Allen left the Sox (one of my favorite players), I was dating a lovely blonde who lived around the corner from Comiskey. We had the best times at the ball park and a great summer of baseball and romance. She had a real passion for the Sox - and me, too! All these great memories are coming back as I watch this terrific team march to the Series. To Anne and the White Sox - I stand and cheer! God Bless!

I live in Bangkok, Thailand. I have been a White Sox fan ever since the early days of my youth living in the south suburbs. I left Chicago in 1984 but I have never left that allegiance to the White Sox. On Thursday I flew to Chicago from Thailand just to attend a World Series game in Chicago! Thanks to an old friend and season ticket holder, I was able to do just that! Being present at game one, hearing the crowd and being a part of history is something that was in my dreams growing up here as a kid watching White Sox. The dream has come true. Hello, I am one of the many sailors who has, at 1 point in my naval career, had the honor and privelage of living in great lakes. Growing up I lived in Houston. I am a die hard astros fan which is a little controversial cause I also really love the cubbies. I know its weird. But when I was a little boy cable was first hitting houston. I used to get home everyday in the spring and turn on WGN chicago cause it was one of the channels we had. I would watch the cubbies play there games always catching about the 3rd inning on. I grew up listening to Harry Carrie in his last decade and a half or so. I loved the cubbies. I always wanted to see chicago. When I joined the navy and found out I was gonna be living in Great Lakes for a few months I was so excited. Well that few months turned into nearly a year. 1 thing I discovered while living there, watching chicago from the outside it seems like such a beautiful place. But to live there among the people is a million times more wonderful than you could ever imagine if you have never been there. I also discovered as loyal as cubbie fans are sox fans are just as wonderful if not more. I thank you Chicago I fell in love with your city, from Aurora and North Aurora, To Elmhurst, to Geneva, To West Chicago, to Wheaton, Warrenville, and all the places I forgot to mention about the burbs. To the guys at the bar off Michigan on the south side who bought me drinks on Thanksgiving weekend of 2004, even though I told em I was a cubbie fan and they were obviously all sox fans. From the North side to the South Side. I love the city of chicago and I hope to move back there when I get out of the Navy. It truly is one of the most beautiful cities in the world. So having said all that. Congrats Sox you play for a wonderful city and a great bunch of fans who love you very much. You all deserve it and your city deserves it. Best of luck to you but I hope you understand I do have to root for my hometown team. Good Luck guys. May the best team win.
Sincerely yours
ETSN Herrera

P.S. I won't be sad that much if we lose, givin its to the White Sox.

I'm a senior at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. Thank you so much for giving this campus reason to cheer. The last 3 years I have been here, it's been nothing but Cubbie blue it seems, but this year all the good guys are wearing BLACK again. I've never donned that retched blue myself, but it's nice to no longer see it around campus in October. Thank you so much and keep rolling through the month. You're doing better than I could've ever hoped for.

Congratulations to each and every member of the White Sox organization for a fantastic season! You have brought trenendous joy to my life this year and to the lives of many friends and family as well. This team comes to the field every day and plays their hearts out. As fans, we all appreciate that. Keep up the heart and hustle and bring home a World Series championship for Chicago and yourselves! Again, congratulations on a great season!

Congratulations to the best team in baseball. I have you winning in five games! My only regret is that after 60 yrs. waiting for this moment, I have to watch on TV. My son and I had to cancel air and hotel reservations because we couldn't get tickets unless we paid outrageous (and criminal) scalper's prices. There has to be a better way to make tickets available to long time Sox fans!

I guess you guys have to win by lying. Dye knew that ball didn't hit him, but took the base anyway. Piercynski knew that ball was in the dirt and that he struck out. He ran to first base anyway. He knew that his glove hit the bat. He didn't say anything. It looks like the Black Sox are alive and well.

WOW what a game! And I thought Podsednik was just nice to LOOK at. They all deserve a big HOLLA! What a team.
PS Anyone know how I save a pic off of the macromedia flash? Went to the Podsednik link off the whitesox.com site and the photo link is a flash player. Won't let me save the pic. Appreciate any help. It's the first pic .
Congrats again!

What a game two! What a series! I've followed and loved the Sox since I was a kid in the 50's - back in the days of Early Wynn and Luis Aparicio. This is a moment in Sox history that will last me another 50 years! Congrats to the team; bring on the Astros in Houston!

We are all coming out of the woodwork. Confession- I grew up in Connecticut. I was lucky enough to have a father who had access now and again to Yankee tickets about 5 rows behind the Yankee dugout.
They were his boss's season tickets. My brothers loved the Yankees. I hated them. As a boy I rooted vigorously for the Brooklyn Dodgers and Milwaukee Braves to beat them in the Series' of '55, '56, 57' and '58 with mixed results.
Finally my Dad brought me to Yankee Stadium in late August of 1958. The Bombers were playing the Chicago White Sox.
Billy Pierce beat Whitey Ford 7-1! Ford was yanked from the game. Ray Boone (Grandfather of Aaron Boone!) hit a line shot homer off Ford. The only Yankee run was another duplicate line shot homer by Moose Skowron. It was that day that I became a White Sox fan and have been ever since. Many years of getting close. Many years of really poor teams. I have gotten used to always expecting the worse with these guys but after seeing them pull off game 2 from the Astros, I dare to say that finally this could be the year. We will see. Go SOX! I need this at least once in my lifetime.

Hi White Sox team and the Sox organization,
I would just like to thank you for all of the exiting moments you have given me this year. I have been a life long Sox fan and watch every game this year , and as the song says I never stopped believing even when you were only a game and a half ahead. Just like tonight in Game 2 I knew you were coming back and would win the game in the ninth. You just don't know how happy you have made me this year. Just sign all of the players for next year please!!!

I am a long time South Side resident who currently lives in Carbondale, going to school at SIUC. Let me tell you, I couldn't be more proud of my Sox right now. I haven't had the best summer, in fact I would love to forget most of it. But the only thing that has gone right for me has been the Sox. Thank you for giving me something to live for. Thank you for giving me something to be happy about. Words will never be able to express the feelings I have for this team. Keep going and reach for the stars!!! Congrats to all the new daddys in the club house...it's always nice to remind us that you are actually human.

GO GO WHITE SOX!
This is the best year ever. I remember as a kid going to see my first Sox game in 1967. My Dad had been a Sox fan since the 50's living in Texas. He had always been a fan of great pitching, defense and small ball. His favourite players were Luis Aparicio and Nellie Fox. The 2005 Sox mirror the 59 Sox except that these Sox can also play longball. Growing up in Michigan City IN we usually went to sunday double headers. some of my favourite teams were the 1972 sox and especially the south side hit men of 77. Scotty's and Paulie's home runs last night brought me back to those hot summer nights watching the Sox on channel 32 with Harry Carey & Jimmy Piersall, waiting for that last at bat, that last pitch, that last strike. Always waiting, waiting for the magic.

Congrats to the 2005 White Sox team. I have been a "die hard" White Sox fan my whole life. I was too young to remember the White Sox in the 1959 World Series. It is so awesome to watch this year's team and how "every" player has played a significant part in every victory in the regular season and post season. This team has made every game exciting to watch. I love you all and thanks for making this season so memorable. I am so proud to be a White Sox fan!! I hope we can keep the same team next year. Let's make the White Sox the 2005 World Series champs. This would also be great for the city of Chicago. GO SOX!! Love ya all. Ellie Hrabovsky from Whiting, Indiana.

Oh my God, I just got home from the best White Sox game I have ever seen. We thought the seats would lousy, as they were in the nosebleed, but we could see EVERYTHING from where we were, even if it wasn't up close!
It was so exciting, with great defense by Crede, and timely homeruns by both Konerko and Podsednik!!!!!
That couldn't have been written any better - just like a fairy tale. Podsednik doesn't homer all year, and now he has his second one of the playoffs.
I was wet, cold and anxious, but it was the best game I have ever gone to - just like it should be!
I LOVE YOU WHITE SOX - WHOOO WHOOO!!!!!

My boyhood was spent in Merrillville, IN during the 50's. My dad worked at U.S. Steel in Gary. During the summers he worked "midnights" so that he could watch the Sox and Cubs day games on WGN Channel 9. Jack Brickhouse was the best announcer; he brought such excitement and enthusiasm to every game. When we weren't watching the games, My brothers and I were in the field behind our house playing baseball with the neighborhood kids. Summers were filled with baseball from beginning to end.
In the late 50's I was a paperboy for the Gary Post-Tribune. A favorite incentive to sign-up new customers was a trip to Comisky Park to see the Sox play a night game. And then, Al Lopez became the manager of the '59 Go-Go White Sox. I read every word about that season while I delivered papers.
Sure, there were kids who only liked the Sox and others who only liked the Cubs. But for me, there has only been "Chicago Baseball." It's great to see the town ablaze with the fire of baseball fever.

When I was a kid, I found a Bill Melton rookie baseball card at Gilbert Lake in Upstate New York. Most of my friends were Yankee or Met fans, but when people asked me who my favorite team was, I’d think of Melton’s card and say “the Chicago White Sox.”
A few years later, I was given a Panasonic radio as a Christmas present that year, and soon realized that I could get reception from 67 WMAQ at night to listen to the games, back in the days when Harry Cary was announcing for Chicago.
In the early 1970’s, I remember owning my first White Sox hat. It was red with a white “Sox” logo on it. Bill Melton, Wilbur Wood and **** Allen were my favorite players at the time. I thought obtaining Richie Zisk and Oscar Gamble would put us over the top. The 70’s was a pretty cruel decade to be a Chisox fan, but there was hope in the 80’s with the acquisition of Carlton Fisk and Greg Luzinski and the promise of a young Chet Lemon and Harold Baines.
In 1983 under manager Tony LaRussa, the White Sox finished in 1st place, but lost to the Orioles 3 games to 1. I thought this would be the beginning our a White Sox dynasty based around Ron Kittle, Baines, Fisk and Luzinski.. We ended up finishing 6th the next year, and it was back to reality, despite 1985 rookie of the year, Ozzie Guillen. The highlight of the 1980’s was Tom Seaver winning his 300th game as a White Sox player in 1984 versus the Yankees in New York on “Phil Rizzuto Day”. Before the game, Phil Rizzuto was presented a cow, who promptly headbutted Rizzuto to the ground.
The 1990’s brought to the spotlight, two of my favorite baseball players of all time, Frank Thomas and Robin Ventura. In 1993, the White Sox won the division behind the hitting of Thomas, Ventura, Ellis Burks, Bo Jackson and Tim Raines. Their defense was solid with Ventura, Joey Cora and Guillen. I thought, “This time, it will be the dynasty.” The White Sox lost in the playoffs to the eventual World Series champions, the Toronto Blue Jays. I thought Carlton Fisk received unfair treatment in ’92 and ’93 as he was shuffled off into obscurity in 1993 and would never play baseball again. The 90’s brought us names like Albert Bell, Magglio Ordonez, Ray Durham, Wilson Alvarez, Lance Johnson, John Kruk, Alex Fernandez, Jason Bere, Jack McDowell, Darrin Jackson, Julio Franco, Carlos Lee, Keith Foulke , Bobby Howry and Paul Konerko.
The new millennium brought new promise to White Sox fans. In 2000, the White Sox won the division but were promptly swept by the Mariners in 3 games, and the curse continued. I don’t think I’ve ever second guessed a manager as much as I did Jerry Manuel. I couldn’t believe he would give rookie Neil Cotts his first major league start against the Yankees in Yankee Stadium instead of pitching Mark Buehrle!!!! The White Sox began the nurturing of their current starting rotation in 2000 with the beginning of the careers of Buehrle and Jon Garland. In 2004, Freddie Garcia and Cliff Politte were added to the roster through free agency. Jose Contreras was obtained in a trade with the Yankees for Esteban Loaiza. In 2005, Orlando “El Duke” Hernandez was obtained through free agency to fill out the White Sox’ starting rotation and Bobby Jenks was obtained off of waivers from the Angels. Brandon McCarthy was brought up through the minor leagues to add promise to an already solid rotation.
It’s been a long and bumpy ride from upstate New York to my current residence in Tampa, Florida. I brought my eleven year old daughter to the White Sox-Devil Rays game earlier this year. We had great seats behind the White Sox dugout. In the 3rd inning, Carl Crawford grounded out to first. As Paul Konerko was jogging back to the dugout, I yelled to him, “Hey Paulie, toss my daughter the ball!” He did, she caught it and it’s on her dresser. Props to Paulie!
It’s been a long time waiting, as a Sox fan, for Chicago to be in the World Series. From Melton to Lemon to Zisk to Ventura til now, and everything in between, it’s been one heck of a ride. Ken Harrelson’s aggression in building this current team should not be overlooked, along with the way Ozzie has led this team and built unity from within.
I couldn’t be more proud to be a White Sox fan.

Congrats to Ozzie and all the team members for such an amazing and memorable season. The charisma and respect each of you display of your team is so outstanding. And we cannot forget the great coaches. You are definitely a "family". In 1959 I begged my dad to buy tickets to "Nellie Fox" night in 1959 and made sure I married a White Sox fan. We have passed on the love of the White Sox to my children. We have the Winning Ugly t-shirts from 83....my daughter's 16th birthday gift in '93 was an official Sox shirt with #13..Guillen on it and now we have proudly added the 2005 ALChampsionship and soon will add the WORLD SERIES!

Series a true lifelong dream for some
1917 meets 2005, as Sox fans at Game 2 provide link to past
By Kelly Thesier / MLB.com
Joe Nugara Sr. waited 87 years to make it to his first World Series. (Ben Platt/MLB.com)
CHICAGO -- The lamenting by White Sox fans that they've been waiting a lifetime to see a world championship could be heard everywhere around U.S. Cellular Field during the first two games of the World Series.
When your team hasn't won a championship since 1917, that's no surprise. Sure, every fan has waited their own share of time to see such an event, but no fan may understand the Sox drought better than Joe Nugara Sr.
Born one month after the Sox championship in 1917, Nugara has spent all 87 years of his life awaiting a World Series title for his beloved Sox. Now he's hoping that when he celebrates his 88th birthday on Nov. 12th, he will do so wearing a championship T-shirt.
"To win the World Series would be phenomenal," Nugara said. "I can't comprehend it right now."
The native South Sider grew up four blocks from Old Comiskey Park. At the age of nine, Nugara worked at the ballpark selling soda pop for 15 cents while spending more time watching the game than actually hawking pop bottles.
"I had a good time at that job," Nugara said with a chuckle. "I would even drink some of the pop on my own from time to time."
"In the old days the team was like a small family but now the family is more international, it's a sign of the times."
His love for the Sox carried through during his service in World War II, when he would follow the Sox accomplishments in the paper that was delivered to the troops. His faith in the team wavered at times, especially when he thought that the team had a chance to capture it all in 1994 before a strike halted the season, but never did he stop cheering for his hometown team.
"We got cheated that year," Nugara said of '94. "But we're not going to be cheated this year."
Nugara has seen plenty of Sox games in his lifetime, but Sunday night's game marked his first trip to a World Series game. Nugara, along with his two sons and three grandsons, took in the action of the game from the upper deck of U.S. Cellular Field. The smile on his face was a mile wide as he watched the pregame festivities take place from his seat.
"My entire life, I've seen only two World Series for the Sox," Nugara said. "In 88 years, that's a long time. As Sox fans, we got used to it. We would say, 'Maybe next year,' but after '59 there was such a drought that we didn't always believe it.
"Now to be here for a World Series, it's finally a reality. It's unbelievable. It's something I never thought I would be able to see in my lifetime."

I live in NJ and I have family out in Illinois. It is amazing to see you guys shine so bright. Coming from NJ Area, the sweep of the Red Sox brought a smile to all of the Yankees fans faces, including my parents.
I am so happy that I can get direct TV to watch SOX games on WGN because starting next season, I'm going to be faithful and watch the Sox regularly.
You guys are all terrific. Good luck and beat the Astros! 1918 was the last time the red sox won it and I have a great feeling that the 87 year drought will be over.
Ozzie, I always admired your talent as a player and now as a coach.
Jermaine: I loved you in Atlanta as you were my favorite player and you are terrific.
Freddy: I always loved your pitching style back in Seattle. Go knock stros off in game 4
Joe Crede: You are the best clutch player in the game of baseball along with Paulie! Your d is the best at the hot corner. You should have split LCS MVP with Paulie b/c you both shined so bright in the LCS.
A.J.: You are a terrific player and always hustling on every play!
Aaron: you are the hands down best CF in the game, forget Torii Hunter or Vernon Wells. If you miss out on a gold glove then it is a shame, and a terrific hitter as well.
Scotty: I always admired you in Seattle and Milwaukee and felt that you were a great player back then, for all of those doubters, that HR is for you. That homerun last night was magical and special and I was lucky enough to come home from work to see it. You are the glue and the speedster of this team.
Paul K: You are the best, don't leave Chicago! The grand slam last night was amazing and had me jumping for joy
Mark/Jon/J.C.: You and Freddy make up the best rotation in baseball. Mark & Jon for split CY Young Awards...both deserve it!
Bobby: don't give up, you are terrific
Cotts and pen: you guys have no rust on you. You are terrific
Iguchi, Uribe: you are terrific
Blum/Perez/Bench: you will all shine in Houston..we need you!
Joey Cora: I miss you as a player. You were the epitomy of a hustler. The same for Baines and Raines.

Paulie, please stay. That grand slam is the culmination of all your hard work and really, what you mean to us. We were excited as you were. And, Scottie, wow. You made our hearts stop. Congrats to all and enjoy the warm weather and show Houston what Chicago is really made of.

Way to ******* go you guys!! This whole thing is amazing. I've been a CHi SoX fan my whole life, thats what makes this so great. You guys have the perfect team and you deserve this. Hopefully I can get into Bourban St. to watch the games. Oh and to make this post season even better, it would be awsome if Hawk and DJ could broadcast the series. Beacause these FOX dudes don't care for the White Sox. Thanks again for great season. Go Juan #8

I have always been a White Sox Fan...when you are born to a mother who grew up in Bridgeport you become one at birth! My husband and I had our first date at a White Sox game in 1975. I have always been a loyal follower, but this year I was addicted from the start. I couldn't miss a game. My family knew that if the Sox were playing on any given night that the TV was mine. It was the ONLY TV I watched! Was it a premonition? I don't know...but it has been an awesome experience following you along throughout the year. I couldn't even pick a favorite player. There's just something about all of you together that makes that impossible. My congratulations to all of you. You are destined to win it all. Don't stop believin'. I won't.
God Bless.

Kenny, just give Paulie a blank contract and ask him to fill in the amount. I don't think he will ask for more than he is worth, which is a bundle. Don't get in a bidding war for him.
Congatulations to all in the organization. What a great season.

I just want to send my congratulations to the 2005 Chicago White Sox!!! I'm a life-long South-Sider, and I've been a Sox fan since I was 5 years old, and I've never been prouder! This has been an amazing season, and this team has accomplished so much. Win or lose, I will never forget this season, these players, or the excitement I felt when watching the games. Thank you for some amazing memories!!!!

Congratulations to all the White Sox and their loyal fans. What a year, what a ride, what a team. Truly a cinderella story from beginning to end. Talk about your destiny. Guys this is it. World Series Champions, 2005. You dreamed it, now your living it. Joe Crede, you have my vote for Series MVP. But in all honesty, it has been a true team effort from the top to the bottom.

My apologies. Ozzie, what a wonderful job you have done with this team. Your leadership, skill, and craftmanship are second to none. You truly deserve this. I'm a transplant from Texas. My kids kidding me about possibly being an Astros fan or at least rooting from them. While Texas will always hold a special place in my heart, it is the Sox and the southside of Chicago where I live. My loyalty goes to you and this wonderful team you have assembled. My only hesitation is what will happen after the season and all the other teams start looking for your free-agents and trying to break up your team. But alas, that is just the business of the game. Congralations Ozzie, you truly deserve this. A.J., Paul, Scott, you did some amazing things not only in the ALCS but in the World Series. Your contributions can not be negated. But again, Joe, you have my hope and best wishes for Series MVP. Besides, my 13 year old daughter thinks your the greatest.

I was 10 years old when the
Sox won the pennant. I have been waiting all these years to see them back again in the World Series. Congratulations Ozzie and to the whole team. You guys are truly amazing and really put on a great game. Almost to thrilling for us older hearts. My brother was a die hard Cubs fan till he died in 1998. We enjoyed the duels of the Cross town classics and always argued who had the better team. Well, I can tell him it is the 2005 White Sox. And enjoy the pleasure of planting a SOX World Series Pennant on his grave. We finally made it. Congratulations 3 down 1 to go. GO, GO, GO... SOX

Watching Ozzie at the helm of this team brings back such great memories....As a kid my old man had season tix and I would go to see Ozzie, Kitlle, Fisk, Baines, and company throw down South side style....I live in MN now but every summer I have been coming back at least once per August to see a game. Ozzie - thanks for the memories - as for the rest of you guys - UNBELIEVABLE!!!!!

Because i'm still a fan of yours and i still love the Astros.I have missed you since you left the Astros. Thanks for being nice to me. I got 3 baseballs from you. When you played with the Astros.I still have all the baseballs you gave me. I just wanted to say hi to Geoff and wish him the best. I just wish you'd go back to the Astros. Hey Sox fans!
Don't Stop Believin'! I downloaded the song and I think I'm driving the neighbors crazy by playing it all week. I've always been a Sox fan, but I've become a hardcore fan over the past two seasons. What can I say about this year that hasn't already been said? I think the best thing I'll take away from watching this team is a new appreciation for the game. I used to live and die by the home run. I even changed the channel when it was the Sox turn to pitch because I only cared about scoring runs. Watching this team, I've realized that stellar defense, outstanding pitching, and speed are just as exciting as the longball, if not more so. Thanks to Ozzie,Kenny, the coaches, and all the players who made this season so special. Let's Go White Sox!!!!!! (P.S. I love Hawk!)

I only wish my Dad was alive to see this. He use to take me to Comisky Park to see the games almost everytime we were ever near the park. He could tell you the name of any player from the Sox or any other team, what position, their standing, and what happen to them after they left baseball, from the time he started to see baseball until he passed away in 99. Now I'm watching game 4 on a Hi-Def Big Screen, and wishing my Dad was here. Go Sox and I hope you make it tonight.

What a team. What a season. What sweet victory, after all those years that i endured September slides and dashed wait-until-next-year hopes. This team has it. Even tho I now live in New York and root for the Yanks (who could pass up the magical season of 1999) the White Sox are first and forever in my heart. You go, guys. You deserve victory!

I saw this posted somewhere:
There are two baseball teams in Chicago.
One is loved not just in Chicago, but nationally. A fan base as far and wide as this great country. Then you have this other team in the Southside. Whose fan base is just the Southside.
The Southside White Sox are not a popular team. You don't see kids wearing their baseball caps in NY and LA and London. They are blue collar. Nothing fancy. No frills. Just a bunch of small ballers and outcasts that found a home on the other side of town.
They are the team of their people and that's the way they play - with all heart and more heart and just when you think they've given all the heart that they have, they give you a little more. That's the Southside for you.
So when you're watching this Series you're not just watching a baseball team. You're witnessing the collective soul of a few hundred-thousand people on one side of town.
Don't stop believin!
Megan, Southside Chicago

To the front office staff and ticketing: Thanks for making sure my playoff tickets arrived (otherwise I would have missed all of it). You guys do a great job of connecting the season ticket holders to the organization and making us feel a (small) part of it. Keep those email updates coming.
THE FIELD GENERALS
To Ozzie Guillen: Thanks for making all the right moves, not only in managing the games, but in managing the people. P.S. Keep talking, we love listening.
To The Coaches, Don Cooper, Greg Walker, Harold Baines, Joey Cora and Tim Raines: While your contributions are not so well-publicized, we have seen our players thrive under your tutelege. Whatever you are doing, keep it up. And to Joey, please keep waving them home.
THE LINE UP
To Scott Podsednik: Thanks for bringing the “GO” back to the South Side. Thanks also for your gracious charm at the Sunday Kids days autograph sessions. You made a very positive impression on my 6 year old son.
To Tadahito Iguchi: Thanks for your solid daily presence and steady play. We knew a ball hit to you was an out, and that a runner was as good as moved over when you came up to bat. Also, in case you have forgotten, that home run in Game 2 of the ALDS was also pretty good.
To Jermaine Dye: Thanks for your graceful outfield defense, and all those tenacious at bats. I love watching you chase down a ball in the gap.
To Paul Konerko: Thanks for all 40, all 100, and all the great plays at first. Thanks also for accepting the leadership role of being the clean up hitter, and cleaning up at the most important times.
To Carl Everett: Thanks for continuing to get traded to the White Sox. You will always have a home on the South Side.
To A.J. Pierzynski: Thanks for handling the pitchers. I am sure it is no coincidence that our pitchers all had the greatest year ever after you came over. Please re-sign with us. (And talk to that Konerko guy too).
To Aaron Rowand. Thanks for all those crashes into the walls, and for the 2 out base hits. Keep up the good work, you have a bright future (that hopefully includes a gold glove).
To Joe Crede: Thanks for your stellar defense and your always timely hitting. All the post season hits were huge, but the 9/20 HR against the Indians put the Sox back on the track to where you ended up.
To Juan Uribe: Thanks for your outstanding throwing arm and great range. I think the single biggest difference that allowed the pitchers to have a better year was that you were our starting shortstop and turned base hits into outs. Keep gunning them down.
THE STARTERS:
To Jose Contreras: Thanks for believing in yourself and your pitches (Don’t Stop Believing . . .). We look forward to seeing lots of those nasty forkballs diving in and then out of the strike zone.
To Mark Buehrle: Thanks for making quick work of the opposition. We have to make sure we’re on time for your starts, since they don’t last too long. Also, keep making those belly flops, its almost worth rooting for a rain delay to see one of those.
To Jon Garland: Thanks for the 18 wins. It has been great watching you mature as a pitcher and we can only hope that there is still another level in you.
To Freddy Garcia: Thanks for being the road warrior. We knew there would never be a sweep on the road when you were taking a turn.
To Orlando Hernandez: Thanks for Boston, the most amazing exhibition of setting up hitters I’ve ever seen. Now we know why the Yankees won all those titles. Please help us win another.
THE BENCH
To Frank Thomas: Thanks for being willing to sacrifice your body to try to come back and help the team. While your year was cut short, we all remember your substantial contribution to the spectacular first half run. We wish you a speedy recovery, and lots more Hrs.
To Pablo Ozuna: Thanks for stealing home. I’d never seen it done (and now I can’t say that anymore).
To Chris Widger: Thanks for the HR in Oakland. Those kind of contributions from the bench helped set the tone for what happened all year long.
To Willie Harris: Thanks for scoring the winning run in Houston. You are the only player that I hope does not return because I hope you get an everyday job somewhere. You deserve a real shot, and I will always root for you.
To Timo Perez: Thanks for the late inning hits. We could count on extending the 9th inning when Ozzie sent you in.
To Geoff Blum: Thanks for Game 3. If you ever have to buy a beer south of Madison Street for the rest of your life, please send me the tab so I can pay it.
To Brian Anderson: Thanks for the HR in Seattle. Again, those kinds of contributions helped create the atmosphere that won it all for us.
To Ross Gload: Thanks for the double in Cleveland. That 3 game sweep presaged (and helped set up) what followed.
THE PEN
To Bobby Jenks: Thanks for the heat. Keep bringing it!
To Dustin Hermanson: Thanks for all the saves. You have my vote for team MVP. Without your 9th inning magic, the first half run would never have happened, and neither would have all the rest. Take care of that bad back and come back slinging.
To Neal Cotts and Cliff Politte: Thanks for all the calm and peaceful eighth innings all year long.
To Jose Vizcaiano and Damaso Marte: Thanks for the great effort. You have Ozzie lots of options and created matchup problems for our opponents. We know you were giving it your all.
To Brandon McCarthy: Thanks for figuring it out and coming back up to help us. We look forward to your bright future.
Now for my only complaint about the 2005 White Sox season, and my suggestion for improvement at the Cell for 2006: Please have the hot dog concession stands put out more mustard dispensers. We can’t be standing in a mustard line and miss any of the action!

Congratulations to the team and all of the people associated with them! The players did it, but they couldn't have done so without the HUGE cast who work at the park and in the front office.
I particularly want to give kudos to Scott Reifert, Roland Hemond, Billy Pierce, Minnie Minoso, Gene Honda and Nancy Faust; you all have been there through the good AND bad times and you richly deserve this – ENJOY IT!
I also remember Chico Carrasquel and Double Duty Radcliffe, who couldn't make it to this celebration. Rest easy, gentlemen, you are not forgotten.
And a shout out to the man who's still the greatest White Sox player of all time - Frank Thomas!

Thank you for all the happiness you have given me throughout the years, especially this year. Growing up with my three younger brothers on the Northwest side of Chicago, it wasn't always easy. We cheered for the Sox when it felt like we were the only ones. The White Sox have always meant so much to my family, and to hear the joy in my parents' voices last night after the game made me happier than I've ever been.

You can put it on the board, YES!!!!!!!!!!!!! The 2005 World Champion Chicago White Sox!!!!! This is fantastic!!! I know you are now "officially" the Champs, but in my heart, you have always been champions. Thank you for bringing the World Series to Chicago. Thank you for never giving up. Thank you for showing what true team spirit is. I went to my first Sox game with my brother in the mid 70's; I was eight, he was twelve, and I am glad that we were able to attend Game 1 of the World Series together. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for giving us these wonderful memories.

Congratulations White Sox! I have listened to my parents, grandparents, and now 102 year old young great grandmother talk about this day for the past 23 years of my life. This was truley amazing to watch! I was at the last game with the Angels in Anaheim and after I witnessed that I knew you would sweep the world series. I dont think any of the Sox fans thought you would do anything else. I'll say that yesterday I felt like I was a little kid again, with my floppy sox hat on cheering for you. Just a small town girl, livin’ in a lonely world
She took the midnight train goin’ anywhere
Just a city boy, born and raised in south detroit
He took the midnight train goin’ anywhere
A singer in a smokey room
A smell of wine and cheap perfume
For a smile they can share the night
It goes on and on and on and on
Strangers waiting, up and down the boulevard
Their shadows searching in the night
Streetlight people, living just to find emotion
Hiding, somewhere in the night
Working hard to get my fill,
Everybody wants a thrill
Payin’ anything to roll the dice,
Just one more time
Some will win, some will lose
Some were born to sing the blues
Oh, the movie never ends
It goes on and on and on and on
(chorus)
Don’t stop believin’
Hold on to the feelin’

It’s ironic that the White Sox won the World Series on the day that Charles Comiskey died. I’m sure he would have been proud of your accomplishment. If the Kansas City Chiefs can win the Super Bowl, it’ll be a totally great year!
Ken Williams: Thanks for assembling the talent to bring a World Series championship to the Southside of Chicago. Open up the checkbook for Paulie. He’s only 29 years old and has a lot of good years left in him. RE-SIGN HIM!!!
Ozzie: I’m so glad you replaced Jerry Manuel. He made a lot of boneheaded moves and had me scratching my head all the time. You worked the team magically and brought them in a new direction that defined the meaning of “team”. Thank you.
Jerry Reinsdorf: Thanks for getting the new stadium and keeping the Chisox in Chicago. Although I live in Tampa and would be a season ticket holder if the White Sox moved to St. Pete, it just wouldn’t be the same. I’ll always call the ball field “Comiskey Park” and will continue to support the Chisox when they come to Tampa.
Paulie: First of all, congrats to you and your wife on your first baby, Nicholas!!! Kids change your life in a great way. You seem like a cool dude and I bet you’ll be a great Dad. Now to the meat and potatoes: You gotta stay with the Chisox! I make $30k a year and have $80k in student loans, so money is not everything!!!! Thanks for the great years and good luck if you decide to go elsewhere, but PLEASE STAY IN CHICAGO!!!! Also, thanks for tossing a ball to my daughter in the 3rd inning of the Devil rays game in Tampa this year. She keeps that ball on her dresser and wants to get some autographs on it next year when the White Sox come to town. That was a magical moment for her, thanks!!!
Joe: Congrats to you and your wife on your baby girl, Lucy Renae! I have an 11 year old daughter who’s a huge Chisox fan. Trust me, Lucy will have you wrapped around her little finger and you’ll love it. You’re a real trooper for playing with the herniated discs in your lower back since July. I’m proud of the way you laid yourself out on defense, in spite of the obvious pain. There’s many Golden Gloves in your future, and hopefully more World Series rings.
A.J.: You’re a gamer that seems to play for the love of the game. It’s inspiring. Thanks for jumping ship and coming to Chicago to help make this work. Your presence alone helped this pitching staff in ways that many cannot fathom (like slowing the game down a little for Mark on the few times he got a little rattled!)
Jermaine: Imagine how jealous all of your Royal team mates are of you? Thanks for the great “D” and solid contributions on offense. I was telling my wife how collected you looked during the playoffs, and it showed with your MVP award. Congrats and keep up the good work!
Carl: Thanks for the unselfishness you showed this year. It wasn’t easy to occasionally ride the pine when the Big Hurt came back, but you handled it masterfully and contributed in a huge way. Even when you played the field, you gave the team solid defense. Thanks for all you did!
Frank: When I think of my favorite White Sox players, names come to mind like Wilbur Wood, Chet Lemon, Carlton Fisk and Robin Ventura, but your name tops the list. Thanks for all of the GREAT years you provided and for helping the Chisox through pain this year. You deserve the ring as much as anyone on this team and I hope you remain a Chisox player until the day you retire. When my daughter was born, I bought her a size 2 Chisox jersey, with the #35 on the back and the name “Lil Hurt” on the back. You’re also her favorite player, too. Thanks again for all of your great seasons and I hope you return 100% next year.
Aaron: You also have many Gold Gloves in your future. Thanks for the great defense and for having your thoughts published after each game during the playoffs. I read every article and you kept the consistent theme of “one game at a time.” You seem like a down to earth kind of guy with a blue collar work ethic which is appreciated by all fans of the game.
Scott: I laughed when I heard the nickname Scott “of all people” Podsednik. It’s kinda reminiscent of Bucky “effen” Dent. Thanks for the hustle and solid defense that you provided, along with playing through pain. The Brewers have a future, but they don’t have a World Series ring! Welcome to Chicago!!!
Juan: Your defense was SPECTACULAR!!! You also have what I call a “vicious” swing. It seems you never get robbed of a good cut at the ball. Thanks for all of your contributions.
Mark: It’s unbelievable how consistent you are at constantly giving quality outings, especially when it counted the most. On a pitching staff full of aces, you’re tops in my book, with no disrespect to the other starters. It doesn’t seem like anything gets to you when you’re pitching. Keep up the great work, you’ll win 20+ next year!
Jose: My Yankee friends are shaking their heads at you. You can shake a World Series ring back at them. Thanks for the great season!
Jon: What a breakout season!! While the rest of the staff had a great season, you came into your own this year, and because of that, you were a major factor in winning the division. I bet you also win 20+ next year. Thanks for the great effort!
Freddy: First of all, congrats to you and your wife on your baby girl, Sofia! Daughter’s are so cool. At first, I wanted a son before my daughter was born, but now, I wouldn’t trade her for all the boys in the world. She’s also a huge Chisox fan. Thanks for coming to Chicago and helping this staff full of aces win the World Series!!
El Duke: My daughter and I saw you pitch against the Devil Rays this year. This was her first live Chisox game. We had a great day, thanks to your solid effort on the mound. Your pitching in the post season was incredible!!! Thanks!
Bobby: I was extremely impressed with your composure on the mound in the playoffs. It’ll just keep getting better, too. The Angels will regret losing you. Their loss is our gain! Keep up the great work, bro!
I’m proud to be part of the road coalition that provides support to the Chisox when they’re not playing in Chicago. My daughter and I will see you guys when you play in Tampa. We’ll be behind the White Sox dugout, screaming our lungs off!!!
One final shout to Hawk: YOU CAN PUT THIS ON THE BOOOOOOOOARD, YESSSSSSSSS!!!

This is from my daughter, Brittany:
I am a BIG Chisox fan and I want to say thank you to all. But a big thanks to Paulie for the ball at the Devil Ray vs. Chi sox game. Carl Crawford (TB) hit a ground ball and you got him out to end the 3rd inning. When all of you were coming back, my dad said, “Paulie toss my daughter the ball.” I treasure that ball. Oh also before I forget Frank, I am going to be you for Halloween! Happy Halloween and congrats on winning the World Series!

I grew up in the fifties. I was converted from the Yankees to the Sox in 59
by my brother. I had a transistor radio glued to one ear for endless summers
and Luis Aparicio was my hero. The Cubs were on tv all the time but I was
interested in the AL and the Sox. Over the years I came to accept that the
disappointment would be annual. Here I am living in the South of England for the past twenty years in
my fifties and the internet has allowed me to be closer to the action than
ever before in my life. I have been up til 4:00 am night after victorious
night. The team has done what to me is the greatest thing ever. Ever.
Friends who know nothing of baseball over here have been calling and texting
me because apparently my enthusiasm for this team is irrepressive. Thank you
Ozzie, Kenny, Jerry, Frank, Paulie, Juan, Pod, Tad, Joe, A.J., JD, Aaron,
Jose, John, Freddie, Mark and the rest of the best team in baseball. You've

I've been a White Sox fan since Louie Aparicio's rookie year. As a little kid Little Louie was my favorite player and my allegiance to the White Sox was born. I've always been proud to be a White Sox fan, but never THIS proud. Second team in the second city, no more indeed! Thank you White Sox for an amazing and unforgettable year!

48 years later, my dream for a White Sox World Championship has actually happened, and I am still in kind of a daze.
Thanks to the Sox front office for putting together such a talented team. To the players... Guys, you did what every sportswriter said couldn't be done. I wonder how their crow tastes right now.
Thanks for a season that I will never forget as long as I live.

Having lived in Las Vegas for almost 25 years, know that this championship was truly appreciated by fans from around the globe! Born on Chicago's north side I was four in 1959, and gave up on the Cubs in '69...This remarkable team is arguably the finest ever fielded. Your awesome display of ability is overshadowed only by the dignity and sportsmanship this awesome group has collectively brought back to professional sports. As a group that represented many nations, races, creeds and religions, the 2005 Chicago White Sox DESERVE the Title of "World Champions."

Words cannot express the excitement and joy I felt when the Sox won the World Series. Born and raised a White Sox fan, I have been with you guys all my life, through everything, and I could not be happier with this year's team. It wasn't so much because you guys were winning, but how you won and how you presented yourselves. The 2005 White Sox had more class, fun, aggressiveness and spunk than I have ever seen before, and I thank you from the bottom of my heart for making me a part of your winning season. Congratulations and God Bless!!!

Guys,
I don't know what to say. The whole thing was beautiful. I loved all the games, and the ticker tape parade. One of the things I liked best was the fact that two of the players that were very integral to this victory were guys who were released by their previous teams - that's right, AJ & Bobby - you both came away from a really bad 2004 and and helped take all of us to victory in 2005. That fact in itself was very inspirational to me in my life - in more ways than I can describe. Thank you all again. It was fantastic. I had I'm just glad you didn't pick the Monkees' "I'm a Believer" as your anthem.

Although I am originally from
Connecticut, I adopted the Sox

It was a long wait but on October 26, 2005 I celebrated my 74th birthday at Minute Maid Park and watched our guys take the world championship. What a birthday gift!!! I have fond memories of sitting out in the right field stands at Comiskey Park watching the Sox play ball. I also recall, I attended nine games before I say my first home run. How things have changed! Thank you to all members of the White Sox organization.

What the White Sox mean to me. I'm a single Mother, age 46. I can relate to your struggle to get to the top. I've been working 2 jobs and go to Spring Training EVERY year for 25 yrs. I live in the NW Suburbs and have been wearing Sox gear since I've been a fan. I have 3 brother's who are Cubs fans and said I was born "breech" for being a devoted White Sox fan. I was laughed at, tormented for years. Somehow I knew this was our year to win. I was born in 1959. The Stars (White Sox) were truely aligned. You gotta love it. I do!I attend 40 games a year with my 15 year old switch pitcher & switch hitter. We'll continue to support you as long as I"m alive. My son can't wait to try out to show you his switch pitching talent. Maybe I'll be there to watch him play for the best team on this Planet. It could happen.

It was wonderful and fitting to have Ken "Hawk" Harrelson be the master of ceremonies at the celebration parade and rally on October 28, 2005. After broadcasting all those games during the regular season, I was so happy to see him in the spotlight, too.
I was around for the '59 series with my dad and our family. We are life-long White Sox fans. My dad passed away in 1967, but I know that somewhere he's cheering this Sox 2005 world championship. It's also wonderful that Al Lopez lived long enough to see this outstanding win. Go Sox, and thanks for the memories! Sincerely, Leah Anderson

I went to my first Sox game as a 4 year old child in 1960. I have been a White Sox fan since and my boys are as well. This season has brought great joy to us to watch the way baseball should be played by 25 "team" players and not 25 individuals. For this Kenny Williams, Ozzie Guillen and the players should be congratulated to the highest degree possible. I can't begin to express our elation and gratitude over the joy watching the Sox has brought to us during both the season and post-season.

What can I say but "Thank you" from the bottom of my heart. One of the few things I really remember from my childhood is going to the Sox games with my brother and my dad. As we grew up, my brother and I have led very different lives in different ways, but our love for the White Sox has always been a constant for us. Now I've got a son (just about 1 year old), and I can't wait to make the Sox part of our lives, too. From my family to all of yours, Thank you.
Congratulations, you all deserve it!!! BTW - Way to take all the other teams behind the woodshed!!!

The last time the Sox were in the World Series, I was a mere 7 years old and thought that Jack Brickhouse and Vince LLoyd were cool. I hung tough through different colors and pant lengths and now have reason to celebrate. Though I am part of a mixed marriage (the wife is a C#%$ fan) my daughter and I were supported during the playoffs, so the win was made more spectacular with the help of at least one North Side Soul. I have to say that this is the BEST team I have seen in a long time in any sport. No egos, no whining, no worries, no excuses. God Bless all the Sox and Don't Stop Believin'. The Ferchau's

I just wanted to congratulate the players and the Sox organization for bringing home the World Championship and for giving me the best week of my life. We moved to Cave Creek, Arizona 3 years ago but we are still season ticket holders and go back every summer to watch the White Sox. We have also been going to Spring Training and following the Sox since they were in Sarasota. We were able to go back to Chicago for game one of the series and stayed until the Championship was won. We also attended the ticker tape parade and it was just awesome. To top it all off, Kenny Williams was on our flight back to Arizona on Sunday and he was nice enough to give me an autograph or two and it was great to be able to congratulate him in person! What a way to end a great week! Congratulations again.

I learned about baseball at my Dad's side; rubbing his feet during baseball games. I loved doing that; it was a way for me to connect with my Dad. Years later, my oldest son was a great baseball player in high school. That's when I truly learned about the game. He's a Cub's fan; I was a Sox fan. His Dad, my other two sons are Cub's fans: I'm the only Sox fan. When Ozzie took the team; my slogan was "these guys can play". . . and they could. Then the slogan was "Win, or die trying". I believed. I watched, I saw, I KNEW. To all of you; for every contribution you made to this game without the payroll, I thought you played with HEART; LOVED THE GAME! This message is to those who love the game and persevere to LIVE the game! I see this in my Sox now; go with Godspeed! YOU'VE EARNED THE RIGHT TO BE THE BEST IN BASEBALL; and it was truly a PLEASURE to watch all of you; be the best you could be.

CONGRATULATIONS WHITE SOX!!!! I AND A FRIEND (WHO IS ORIGINALLY FROM CHICAGO) ARE HUGE WHITE SOX FANS. WE WATCHED EVERYTHING THIS YEAR!! AND TAPED THE WORLD SERIES GAMES. NEITHER OF US HAVE EVER REALLY BEEN SUPERSTITIOUS, BUT WE HAD OUR GOOD LUCK CHARMS IN HAND THROUGHOUT THE PLAYOFFS AND THE WORLD SERIES!!!!!!!! ITEMS INCLUDED OF COURSE 2 WHITE SOX, 2 STATUES OF "HAPPY MAN" A #35 JERSEY AND MY EVIDENTALLY LUCKY MARLBORO SHIRT!!!!!! WE DID LITTLE RITUALS B-4 EVERY GAME AND DIDN'T LOSE HOPE AT ALL!! WE BELIEVED AND THEY DID IT!! I LOVE A.J. PIERZYNSKI, AND HAVE SINCE HE PLAYED FOR OUR MN TWINS, IN FACT I HAVE A SIGNED PIERZYNSKI JERSEY FROM 2003. I LOVE TO WATCH HIM PLAY, AND HOPE HE WILL FIND A LONG, FULLFILLING CAREER WITH THE WHITE SOX!!!!!!!!! AND WHEN THE LAST "OUT" OF THE WORLD SERIES WAS OBVIOUS, I RAN OUTSIDE AND YELLED AND SCREAMED MY LUNGS OUT... IN A CITY RESIDENTIAL AREA NO LESS!!! MY DAD CALLED ME FROM HIS UPSTAIRS APARTMENT AND ASKED ME WHAT HAPPENED, AND I SAID "WELL DA DAD, THE WHITE SOX JUST WON THE WORLD SERIES," HE THEN TOLD ME, GOOD BUT I HOPE NOONE CALLS THE POLICE ABOUT THE SCREAMING!!!!!!!!!! AT THAT POINT I REALLY DIDN'T CARE WHO I WOKE UP OR IF THE WHOLE POLICE FORCE SHOWED UP AT MY DOOR... IT WOULD'VE ALL BEEN WORTH IT!!!!!!!!!!! AND ALL THE TEARS WE SHED IN HAPPINESS WERE ALL WORTH IT!! MY FRIEND REALLY WANTS THE WHOLE TEAM TO SIGN HER #35 JERSEY NOW, BUT DOESN'T KNOW HOW TO ACCOMPLISH THAT!!! WE BOTH KNOW THOUGH THAT WE REALLY WANT TO MAKE IT TO A SOX GAME NEXT SEASON, AND WANT ALL OF THIS YEARS TEAM WINNERS TO BE THERE!!!!!!!!!! NOT PLAYING FOR ANOTHER TEAM, OK GUYS??????? AND WHOEVER SAID "THERE'S NO CRYING IN BASEBALL" WAS WRONG!!!! THERE IS CRYING IN BASEBALL WHEN YOU WIN THE WORLD SERIES!!!!!! SO, GO SOX, WE LOVE YOU, AND WE WILL NEVER STOP BEING WHITE SOX FANS!!!! Even several days later I have to pinch myself. The Chicago White Sox win the 2005 World Series with guts, heart, and solid play, the way baseball was meant to be played. I was not sure I would see a World Series winner on the South Side in my lifetime, but you did it, and you guys looked amazingly sharp. Extremely impressive, and wonderful games to watch.
You guys - all of you made this happen, and in a way, for my own life, it reminds me that all things are possible if you have the will and determination. I would like to especially congratulate the pitching staff - you guys are nothing short of amazing.
Selfishly, I'm only sad I cannot keep watching you guys, that I have to wait until next year. Still, you guys deserve a long break, and I hope you have a wonderful holiday season, and a terrific offseason. I look forward to seeing you next year for opening day. Thank you so very much Chicago White Sox!

Finally, I have been able to see my favorite team win a world series. Congradulations on becoming the Worl Champs. Even after moving out of Chicago, I have always been and will be a SOX fan. I grew up going to the old Comiskey Park because my father would not step a foot in Wrigley Field. Every season my father would say that it was your year. Well although my father is no longer with us, it was YOUR year, and I amsure he saw every minute of it with the best seat possible. The White Sox, the best team in baseball!!! THANK YOU for being a true team. Ozzie I am so greatful it was you managing this team. And to Paulie please find a way to come back to Chicago. In my book the WHITE SOX will always be my #1 team!!!!!!!REESE Norfolk, VA

From a lifelong (all of 22 years) Chicago White Sox fan who has been exiled in Boston for the last 4 years, Thank you, Thank you, Thank you. The amount of class this team showed should be an example for every team in the league. Ozzie and the players knew that winning a World Championship was not enough for the South Side of Chicago. It had to be done in a humble fashion that displayed the character of the City of Chicago to baseball fans across America. To satisfy the fans a championship would have to involve team oriented play, the highest level of good baseball (Ozzie-ball if you prefer). The 2005 Championship should tide us over this winter, for the first time in 88 years, though the champagne has left my throat dry and I am already thirsty for more.

I, my father, grandfather and great-grandfather are/were lifelong South-Siders and long-suffering Sox fans (My grandfather wasn't even born the last time they won!) Many thanks to Ozzie & Co. for letting the whole country know where Chicago's South Side is at!

Thank you for all your digging & scrapping & clawing for wins!! Congrats! Let's do it again!!! Go Ozzie! I watched you at the ball park when you were at shortstop! What makes this win so sweet is that this year's team was somewhat of an underdog story. Early in the season, predictions were very negative. (as usual!) Even when we went on to be the first to get 10 wins, 20, 30, etc. it was never enough. The newspapers just loved it towards the end when our lead over the Indians got down to that 1 1/2 games. But, you guys never gave up. (I always had faith.) That incredible, invincible strength as a team is what kept you going and pushed you over the top! The post season games were nothing shy of amazing. To see a team that actually looks & plays like a team! Other major teams seem to have too many "superstars" and they don't seem to have connection that the Sox do. This team actually looks like they care about one another. Ozzie & Kenny really put together one heck of a team! The magic that was created this season will forever live on as the sweetest memory of the best team ever...the 2005 World Series Champion White Sox! Congratulations. I couldn't imagine a team that deserved it more than then you guys. I can't wait until next Spring! Let's do it again next year.

The blood ive shed defending the SOX , wearing the south sides prized emblem on my head 4 over 20 years , has been rewarded . When everyone laughed and spit on our team nsiders trying to lay their claim , this was THE defining moment , finnally we have the WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP on our side of town , the only side of town ! Its the best feeling in the world . I cannot belive the trance that Ozzie put those unbielivable pitchers under , but the biggest part of this whole thing has to be the guys behind the plate , a softball player , and a starter that was looked at as trouble . The reason i emphsize on these two is because of rumors on how there is another star catcher in fa We dont need him , sign Paulie and set the standard once again next year !
THANK YOU CHICAGO WHITE SOX !!!!!!! CONGRATS !!!!!!!!!!

To the White Sox Organization:
Thank You!
Thank You!
Thank You!
My favorite team has finally won the World Series! I congratulate everyone that was a part of this great team of 2005. Your professionalism and heart stand out from many recent championship organizations.
Earlier this year I suffered some vision complications due to Diabetes and was concerned about the future of my eyesight. I felt an urgency this year more than any other that if the White Sox were to make a push for the Championship, it had to be this year. I wanted to see them win it all with my own eyes.
Not only did I get to see the Sox advance to the World Series but I got to attend Game 2 on October 23rd. I continued a tradition that my Father started as a teen when he attended the 1959 World Series. (My Family felt compelled to purchase a ticket for me as an early Christmas present).
I witnessed a night with 41,000 other friends that I will never forget. Konerko's grand slam and Podsednik's game winner will be with me always.
My eyesight is improving steadily and I look forward to seeing more great White Sox baseball in the years ahead. Thank you again, White Sox Organization, for making my dreams and those of so many other fans come true. Terry Craven

Hello White Sox, Congratulations on a wonderful season, and thanks for the memories. I have been a White Sox fan for 50 years. By the middle of April I knew the this team was special. In June I emailed my son who is serving in Iraq that this may be the best Sox team I have ever seen. I suggested that if he can come home on leave to plan it for playoff time. He went one further, he took his leave so he would be here for the World Series. He arrived in Chicago on October 22nd. He was able to see the Sox sweep Houston. It was great for him because he is even a bigger Sox fan than I am. We were not lucky enough to get tickets. We tried but with no had no luck. He went backNov. 7th. His tour will be over around Christmas. We are hoping to get him home at that time safe and sound. So thanks for the Memories, you guys were Fabulous. And lets do it again
