I cherish memories of my PopPop and I watching you guys play. This is not just a Sox win, or a Cubs non-win...this is a win for Chicago. Thanks and Congrats! You deserve it!!!!

Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! I don't feel like I can express how much this means to my family. My parents have been waiting for this forever and my grandparents never got to see it. It occured to me Wednesday night how this win is going to redefine Sox fans completely. Growing up Sox fans will be so different for my kids than it was for me! I'll never forget this team and all you've done for Chicago!

Go Sox!!!!!

Thank you Ozzie, Kenny and all the White Sox players for the BEST SEASON EVER. I've been a fan of the Sox since the 1977 Southside Hitmen and have been waiting for the Sox to show the world that they are the best. Now you did it! My favorite team has provided an unforgetable gift of pure joy and extreme pride.

WOW!its been a few days since the big win and im still in heaven! i admit i havent been a life long fan but im definitely not a bandwagon fan! my family has always been big on sports but mostly football and basketball so i would just watch games w/them and ive been a bears and bulls fan my whole life. But when i was around 10 i started playin baseball with neighborhood friends and started really gettin into it.so one day i decided to turn on the tv and watch a baseball game and the team that was playin that day were the white sox. i immediately fell in love! from that day i started watchin the games everyday and followin how the team was doin. i even tried watchin a few cubs games because i lived in the northside and all my friends were cubs fans but there was just sumthin bout the white sox that was so much better to me. I never got to go to any games because my parents werent into baseball and i obviously couldnt drive but i stayed a fan and wouldnt change it for the world. finally when i turned 16 and got my license and so i finally went to my first game and it was an incredible experience for me. i will admit i was pretty upset over ordonez not bein on the team at first this yr but after i got to know the new 2005 team i fell in love with the white sox all over again. im 19 now so i have a job(money to buy tickets!) and a car and i went to the most games ive ever gone in a season and thats 16 games. i shouldve saved up all the money i was spending on tickets but it was all worth it! but thats not even the best part! 2 days before game 2 of the world series me and my friend were determined to get tickets. i was plannin on asking family for money for xmas and my bday in advance and they would never have to buy me any presents ever again! im lucky to have a rich and huge white sox fan as a boss because she gave me 800 dollars up front for a ticket and told me i could pay her back in payments. i ended up gettin to sit about 5 rows up from the field by home plate right about the opposing teams dugout! that was the most amazing game of my life! everyone in the stands could feel a grand slam commin from paul but i was still a shocked and i got teary eyed! it was just so overwhelming actually being there and being so close to him when it happened. and then when podsednik hit the walk off home run i just about died! durin the regular season one of my friends was like is podsednik ever gonna hit a homer?? and half serious/half joking around i told him that he's waiting for a world series game when it counts. in the bottom of the 9th when were tied, bam! he's gonna smack one into the stands! when it actually happened and i was there to witness it, i was honestly breathless for a minute! and my friend who i said that to immediately called me and was almost speechless too! wow sorry this is so long but im still just so excited! i just want to thank everyone involved with the 2005 white sox. it means so much to me and everyone else. i cant even imagine how good you guys feel right now but you deserve every bit of happiness with all youve done this yr. its sad to know that it wont always be these exact players playing for the white sox but no matter what i will always be here cheering for the white sox! i LOVE you guys!! oh and to aj,rowand, and crede, dont quit your day jobs! i was there at the parade when you guys sang and yea..haha! i still love you guys anyways! so with that ill just say congratulations 2005 world series champions!! wow that feels so good to say! from christina in round lake beach,IL

YOU GUYS MADE US SO PROUD. SAYING THE WORD CONGRATULATIONS DOESN'T EXPRESS ALL THE LOVE THAT WE HOLD FOR YOU.. I NEVER STPPED BELIEVING IN THIS GREAT TEAM AND GREAT ORGANAZATION... I CAN'T MENTION ANY NAMES OF THE PLAYERS HERE, BECAUSE THEY ALL DID AN EQUAL JOB IN HELPING THE TEAM GET WHERE THEY GOT. EACH ONE HAD SOMETHING SPECIAL ABOUT HIM.. WE HAD A SPECIAL TEAM... I AM SO PROUD OF THOSE GUYS.. GO SOX..

Chicago, The White Sox town... the town of the great team.

I just wanna say congrats, this is special cause the last time this happen my grandparents were teens so needless to say when you won it I had a few tears thinking back on what my grandfather woulda thought. Finally Chicago is on top of the baseball world looking back at everyone else.

Enjoy this and have a nice vacation.

Signed Reformed Cubs Fan.

Thanks Aaron for another great season in center field and at the plate and congrats on the world series victory! You and the rest of the team deserve it. Along with congratulating you, I wanted to take a minute to thank you for what you did for one of my friends who lost the battle with cancer a couple years back (he was a teenager from Oak Lawn). Thank you for going and visiting him. It meant the world to him and the rest of his family. I'm glad you were there to visit him and put a huge smile on his face before he moved on. For that I'll always have the highest respect for you.

Well, to you and the rest of the team: Congrats and enjoy the WORLD SERIES VICTORY!

Your biggest south side fan,

Matt of Oak Lawn

To the phenomenal WHITE SOX...this season has been an amazing one..I've been a fan for my short 16 years of life but I was practically raised at Comiskey/ The Cell so seeing such a momentous accomplisment was truly wonderful. Unfortunately my family out of state last year so we were only able to make it out to 1 game this year (4th of July w/ Jermaine Dye's GRAND SLAM)..sitting there with 3 generations of my family was great but watching you guys clinch the the division, then the league, and then become the unbeatable team in the Series was even better.

Congrats and Thanks for PUTTING THIS ONE ON THE BOARD and making living in "yankee territory" bearable!

Your biggest fan in NJ...

Kristen

hey white sox players..i'm the above comment-ers little sister and since she failed to mention congrats on behalf of our FAMILY..i'll do it

like she said, we moved to NJ so we were only able to make it to one game this year and it was great..we never stopped believing in YOU so we just wanted to say thank you so much for making this year an incredible year for us and for all sox fans..

we followed the season often changing our favorite players until we decided that we couldn't decide on just one since all of you were great..we've had people knock on our door (we've got a Sox flag hanging in our driveway) and tell us "You call that Joe Crede and tell him he played a great game last night" or my personal favorite "DID IT BOUNCE?" and not having the heart to tell whichever person it was that sadly, I did not have Joe Crede's or any other Sox players number and then just smile and nod for the other question.

The day after winning the series, everyone was stopping US in the halls at school to congratulate us and tell us how proud they were of YOU guys.

So even though WE GONE, we're still diehards and just want to congratulate you on another well played season and a job well done.

Laura & family

Thank you and congratulations. I am yet another life long Sox Fan. Nellie Fox was my boyhood idol.
Do not feel bad that no one outside Chicago respects you right now. Next year you will feel that respect when other teams try to figure out how to beat you.

Beat them again just for the principle of things.

I think it is great that none of those cyber statistics programs can accurately define the White Sox. If they think luck was the key, they are in for a big surprise as you repeat.

Following baseball all these years and the White Sox especially, this team was a throw back to the 1959 team. A lot of the positive qualities were there. The team is also like the recent Minnesota Twins in so many positive ways also.

As a fan of the game and the team, you have made a little part of my life complete. For that I will be eternally grateful to all of you.

Best wishes in the future to all of you!

I've been a White Sox fan for as many years as I can remember. I remember Bill Melton playing 3rd while Wilbur Wood pitched. I was watching when Disco Demolition took place. I remember Tony LaRussa as the manager with Ozzie playing short stop. In all of those years, there has not been one as thrilling as this one. We, as Sox fans, have waited a long time for this. Thank you White Sox for a great season. We appreciate it!

Hey congrats to u guys, you've earned it! Congrats to Scott with his walk off, we all knew u were waiting for the perect time to hit your home runs. 2005 was the greatest season ever. I've been a sox fan for all my 13 years and you guys brought me the BEST b-day present ever! Oh and a.j., aaron, and joe i love your journey thing. Well GO SOX!!

Margaret (the biggest Sox fan ever)

Dear White Sox,

I'm not going to sit here and tell you that I've been a fan since I saw my first game at the age of three(18 now) simply because that would be insulting to the generations that have been waiting the whole 88. I will offer my congratulations on accomplishing this task for my city of Chicago. It's been hard growing up in the Northern suburb of Cary being around the Cubs fans, but I won't have to take any heat any longer. It truly brings tears to my eyes to recall any moments of the season in 2005. I have to believe I either watched or listened to all 174 games played this season, which reminds me: Thank you John Rooney for being the voice ever since I was born and making the greatest calls in the country. I'm glad you got to experience this for this team. I'll miss you. Anyways, thanks to every single person who played on the forty-man roster; I won't forget any of you. Let's set our minds and do it one more time. Thanks again.

Much affection,

Matt S.

PS-Shout out to my favorite player, Aaron Rowand and his great defensive skills. I know this was a bit of a down offensive year for you, but it was a blast to watch you hit and field this year and I hope you man CF next year. Also, your 2004 season was phenomenal, and I have no doubt after that of what you are capable of being and what you are now. Thanks Aaron.

Dear Mr. Jerry Reinsdorf :

Now you may say as spanish Emperador Carlos V : “The sun in my dominions never sets”.

Through Ozzie and by heart you conquest another territory: Venezuela!

Since I was a child watching the 1959 White Sox on WGN, there has never been another baseball team in my life. I've sat through double headers in 40 degree weather at Old Comiskey Park during the 1960's, and then had to rely on radio and newspapers to give me the scores when I moved to farm in Wisconsin where I couldn't get the games on TV. I've never been as impressed or excited about a Sox team as I was by this year's group of incredibly gifted players. You caught our imaginations and made us believe a Series was possible. You played at all times with passion and enthusiasm. You have made us happy and terribly proud. And, for me, it's been the greatest and most emotional last few weeks of my life. Sincere congratulations and thanks for proving to the world that the White Sox are Chicago's first and best team. And before signing off, I'd like to especially thank my favorite players through the years: Jim Landis, Pete Ward, **** Allen, Carlton Fisk, Ozzie Guillen and Aaron Rowand. And my favorite broadcaster, Ken Harrelson. It's been a great 46 years. I can't wait until we repeat next year!

Thank you all for the World series win. I am so proud of you all as a team, you all epitomize the word team to the fullest extent, there are no "I's", it everyone working together to achieve the ultimate goal, and as result, the goal occurred.
AJ, Joe & Aaron-that is the best song from the 80's, "Don't stop Believin", and you guys did a great job singing it! :)

Scott: You are a terrific player, I still can't believe how the organizations overlooked you for the longest time, you are a terrific player and should have been in the majors for awhile.

Aaron: You are one of the best centerfielders out there, and Go Bears!

Crede: You were my MVP for the whole playoffs, I even had a debate with friend, who said Paulie and I still stuck with you.

Jermaine: you are terrific, congrats on the MVP.

The rest of the team, you guys are the best..Congrats to all of you.

I hope you all repeat next year.

Looking forward to following you all in April.

P.S. You all looked great on Oprah, and the girls love you Joe & Scott, that is because you both are so hot! :)

Dear Jerry Reinsdorf,
Thank YOU! Ever since speaking with you at a few "Chicago Baseball Writers' Diamond Dinners" in the mid-80's, I knew you have always had the same vision as we Sox fans had...a World Series Championship! And, through all the grief that you took from people who just didn't get it, you hung in there...for the White Sox Nation! Well, obviously, the people who have made up the White Sox organization over these many years, they get it. And, they have thanked you in far more eloquent ways than I am capable of...but, I want ti try. And now, all of our White Sox Nation understands what you have done for us all.

Thank you for your fortitude, for your loyalty to players past and present, and for your skill in building an organization of great people who delivered this dream season to us. From the good feeling of the Spring Training games that I saw at Tucson Electric Park, to the thrill of June-August games at the 'Cell', to the electic atmosphere I got to immerse myself in at Game #1 of the World Series...for all of these heart-felt experiences of this magical season...I thank YOU!

My first game as a White Sox fan was as a seven-year-old in 1959, and I have kept coming and cheering the great Sox teams of many eras. And, because of your twenty-five years of dedication, I can now cheer the greatest of all these teams..the 2005 World Champions! It has touched my heart more than you'll ever know. And for that, you have my eternal respect, and gratitude! - C.R. Shedlak Bloomington, Indiana

WHITE SOX WHITE SOX GO GO WHITES SOX
Thanks for the best gift I've ever received. I got addicted by the 59 team. You all have done it again. Lit the White Sox fire in the souls of little kids everywhere who will grow up with an eye on the TV, an ear glued to the radio, and a hand on the box scores. Because that's what being a White Sox Fan is all about. Thank You Again from central Indiana.

Congratulations to the White Sox: players, management, staff. This is my 51st year as a fan, and I can finally say, "It's OUR turn." Thanks for all the great memories you made for us this year.

To Jerry Reinsdorf: No one deserves this as much as you. Congratulations!

Congratulations guys! I know this season meant a lot to you, and it did for me too. I want to thank you for rocking so much. My dad was a HUGE White Sox fan, and it rubbed off on me of course. My best friend and I went to a bunch of games because we finally have money. The season was a lot of fun, but on September 22, my dad passed away from cancer. That of course, was when you guys were in your slump, and I told him not to worry, that you guys would pull through and win the World Series, and he didn't believe me. I just want you guys to know that since the day my dad passed away, I think he's been up there rooting for you because you went on a 13-3 run. You guys made this year a memorable one for my family and I, and we'll always have something to remind us of my father. And he's still a White Sox fan, I bought a flag and put it next to his headstone. Keep it up guys and I'll see you next year. :)

I wish I wasn't dumb..hahha I messed up my entire entry. it was a 19-3 run, not a 13-3. Even better! Congrats again!

LET'S GO GO GO WHITE SOX! I hope this great song is getting some much overdue playing time!

Congrats for a GREAT World Series victory!

I was born in Oak Lawn 1957 and moved out West in the early 60's. The Sox were our family team. My parents attended the 1959 playoffs and I still proudly display memorabilia from when the White Sox won the Pennant Sept 23rd, 1959. Yes, many are amazed that I still have it and now it takes on a whole new meaning!

It's been a long wait, especially for someone surrounded by Giant's and A's fans, but definitely worth it!

Congrats to the 2005 World Champion Chicago White Sox!! I don't think I will ever get used to saying that. I will no longer be ridiculed for cheering for this team. I will not have to defend myself anymore. The feat that this team accomplished ranks number one on the list of all-time most meaningful things a Chicago sports team has ever done. I was at the game on Memorial Day when you played the angels and Timo Perez hit that walk off two run single which was awesome. I could have never envisioned that only 5 months later I would be at game two of the American League Championship Series watching the same two teams and seeing Joe Crede hit one of several clutch hits he had in the playoffs to drive in Pablo Osuna and win the game. Now I have been to over 20 games this season and many more during my life but that was hands down the best game I have ever been to. The crowd was electric and just fed off the energy of the team. I would not invest in any championship merchandise until we had won the big title and I wanted to let you know it was worth the wait. This was a dream season from Buerhle pitching a shutout on opening day to watching Paul Konerko talk about how many didn't believe the team could do what it did. He thought about how the players might be able to win over doubters at the victory parade.

``The only thing I could come up with is maybe we'll have to do this one more time next year,'' he said.

I hope Paulie remains true to that statement and re-signs to help defend the title. Thanks again and enjoy your much deserved time off!

Congratulations to the Chicago White Sox Organization for the greatest season ever! I have been a Sox fan all my life since I have been a child when my father took me to see Luke Appling at the old Comiskey Park. This season was so much fun and so exciting, it is so hard to put it into words, and the play-off's were unbelievable! Friday's "Love-Fest"! will never be forgotten!! GO-SOX!!!

CONGRATULATIONS ON WINNING THE 2005 WORLD SERIES.
I'M A LIFETIME CHICAGO WHITE SOX FAN FROM THE FAR NORTHWEST SIDE OF CHICAGO. MY FATHER WORKED NIGHTS SO MY GRANDFATHER WOULD TAKE MY COUSIN AND ME TO NIGHT GAMES AND ALMOST EVERY SUNDAY DOUBLE HEADER IN THE EARLY 60'S. I NEVER GAVE UP ON THE BEST TEAM IN CHICAGO - THE CHICAGO WHITE SOX. I WANT TO THANK ALL OF YOU FOR MAKING THIS SEASON THE ULTIMATE IN JOY ANY WHITE SOX FAN COULD EXPERIENCE. THE ONLY REGRET I HAVE IS THAT I MOVED FROM CHICAGO TO FLORIDA IN 1997 AND COULD NOT ATTEND ANY OF THE POST SEASON GAMES THIS YEAR. WITH YOUR TALENT I'M SURE I WILL HAVE THE OPPORTUNITY TO ATTEND A FEW GAMES IN THE NEAR FUTURE. THANKS FOR AN UNFORGETABLE SEASON.

GO YOU WHITE SOX - 2005 WORLD SERIES CHAMPIONS!

DENNIS LAKE MARY , FL

One of my fondest memories was of the day my Gramma sat me down and told me the story of the 1906 World Series when the White Sox "Hitless Wonders" defeated the awesome Cubs team. She told me that it didn't matter if you were a Cubs fan or a White Sox fan, everyone celebrated.

For the three generations of Chicago Baseball fans in my family who longed to know the feeling of a World Series Championship, my deepest thanks and hardiest congratulations. I know my grandparents, uncles and aunts - White Sox and Cubs fans all - are looking on this from Baseball Heaven with joy.

How about another White Sox - Cubs World Series to honor the 100th anniversary of the only other one?!

John Huffman, Wichita, KS

Congrats to the 2005 World Champions Chicago White Sox. I had a deep feeling in my heart early in the year that this team was going to be something special.

There were also the hard times but you guys managed to stick with it and turned up the heat in the playoffs.

What I loved about this year's White Sox was the unity and teamwork you guys showed. And it helped win important games. The players gave their will and their all to win it.

To Ozzie Guillen & the greatest Chicago White Sox team ever, I salute you. Que Vivan Las Medias Blancas: Campeones Mundial!

Ive been a Sox fan..A White Sox fan all me life.I missed enjoying the '59 series when i was younger.I would have been disappointed, and I believe now there was a larger plan in sight to offer me this year as an entree to a great World Series Championship.I raised my kids right, and that is to be White Sox fans and prepare them for a team..and I emphasize TEAM to win this championship. No egos out there to beat us from within..just a cast of different personalities that truly intertwined together to put this thing in the record books.Thank you White Sox..and congratulations to a great season

Oh yes One more thing...Lets get everyone back and go for 2..Its time to repeat!!GO SOX!

Way to Go White Sox! You all did it. I am thirteen years old and I have enjoyed watching you guys play while I was on vacation in North Carolina and Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. I reaaly enjoyed watching Scott Podsednik the most. He was my favorite player on the Sox since I started watching them mid summer this year. I became a Sox fan then. At that moment I became the only Sox fan in my family. Everybody else is Cubs, Cardinals, or they just don`t have a team to go for. Well anyways, Congradulations Chicago White Sox, you guys put some excitement into the Windy City and across the country. See you all next year. Love ya all.

Oh and I almost forgot to say, Scott and Joe are the most cutest guys I have ever seen. There aren`t too many teams with cute guys on them.

Thank you so much. Thank you from both my grandfathers who weren't able to see it on this earth. Thank you from friends who didn't make it as well. Thank you for allowing this dream of ours to come true. Thank you for allowing me to share this, one of the greatest moments of my life, with my friends and family. Thank you for giving me this memory for years and years to come. I hope all of you know how sincere the appreciation is, how real the tears of joy are, and how deep you have touched, and been a part of, our lives.
Sincerely, Jerry Marzullo

Thank you for a fabulous year. I have been a White Sox fan my entire life. I watched the 59 series on TV and did not miss a minute of the 05 World Series. My wife, a die hard Cubs fan, cheered for the Sox right along with me and was very proud of my team. We have been to many Sox games in the 14 years we have been together, never a Cubs game. You made every Sox fan proud of our team and our city. I hope we can do this again next year. Thanks agin.

Dear White Sox, WS fans and all Chicagoans,
What a way to pay tribute to Al Lopez, he waited since 1959 to see his team win the World Series. I'm glad that he got his chance. To be honest I'm a Cub fan, but I grew up in Chicago and I never hated the Sox, At age 9, I knew the Sox lineup by heart and rooted for the Go Go Sox back then in '59. How to forget players such as Fox & Aparicio, Shaw and Peters, Lollar and Klusewski, Minoso and Rivera, Landis, Hershberger, Al Smith and so many more. Congratulations. I still follow Chicago baseball from my new hometown in Mexico City. Felicidades!

Way to go White Sox!! I always told people you were the best team and now you proved it! Thank you for everything and I can't wait to see you all at Soxfest again in January! The ball I had signed there last January I will treasure forever! See you all then!

Dear you,

If I weren't a Sox fan, who knows where I'd be today.

Congrats to all of you on a great season! I wear my colors with even more pride.

World Champion Chicago White Sox! There is a wonderful ring in the air every time I hear this phrase, music that the entire city can sing to the skies for eternity. Thank you, thank you, thank you for bringing brilliant smiles to so many faces. We will never forget your Herculean efforts, selfless determination and sheer love for the game. It is the definition, the essence, the heart of "Grinder Ball". Best wishes for even greater glories in 2006 and many years to come. GO WHITE SOX!!! Stephen Kowalsky, LaGrange, IL

My husband and I have been lifelong White Sox fans and were season ticketholders until we retired. Thank you for this year's magical season. Your accomplishments were more than we could ever have hoped for from such a newly created team. We really admire the way you all pulled together and played good old fashioned baseball. You all should be extremely proud of yourselves.

I've shed so many tears of joy this year! We only wish our parents could have been alive to see it happen.

Somehow, someway, we'll be there on Opening Day to scream our appreciation for all of you.

wow, i can't believe it finally happened. i told my parents when they wanted to move that we can't move during the year the sox will win it all. they didn't listen, and i had to watch from the *******' state of south carolina. thanks mom and dad, for making me miss what would have undoubtley been the best 4 months of my life. i enjoyed them anyway though. thank you so much chicago. this victory means more than anything to me.

I have been a Whitesox fan for over 40 years and grew-up in a family of Whitesox fans-my Grandfather was a fan before passing away and I know he was dancing in his grave the day you won the World Series. What a World Class Team and Congratulations to all on the Soxs team.

What can I say that has not already been said. What a great year you have had and we have had a great time coming along on the ride. Thanks for the memory of a lifetime. YOU ARE THE GREATEST !!!!!

Thanks, White Sox! This was something I dind't think I'd see in my lifetime!! Also want to give some credit to two players who didn't get the accolades they are so deserving: Dustin Hermanson - When he went down with the back problems is when the Sox had their 'slump'; and Juan Uribe, for the incredible Shortstop play all year!!

Being a fan since I was six years old when my dad brought me to my first game which was a rain out with the Yankees. I have watched the winning and losing teams and kept thinking one day that the White Sox would win everything. I thought in 1993 and really in 1994 and then the strike happen and ended the season. But this 2005 team from the get go was on target to win it all. Every player on the team came through with either timely hitting, defense or pitching throughout the year. May the winning continue.

As a lifelong fan I hope the White Sox organization signs Paul Konerko to a new contract.

Maryann and Tom Kramer (a converted Cubs fan)

I have been a Sox Fan all my life and I am so proud of the team and the organization for making being a South Sider something to be proud of. Thank you for a great season. GO SOX! Let's repeat next year.

I am a very happy old South Chicago guy. I have fond memories of sitting in the left field grandstand many times at Comiskey Park with my Dad and I wish he was here to share my pride in our White Sox. I've been a Sox fan for all of my 63 years and even worked as a part time Andy Frain usher at the Old Comiskey when I was in high school. I even remember cutting high school classes to watch the 1959 World Series....Dad didn't appreciate that when he found out...but he understood.

I can't wait til next year.......Continue to GO! Go! White Sox...

Al in San Francisco

WOOOOHOOOO!
WORDS CANNOT DESCRIBE HOW HAPPY AND EXCITED I AM FOR YOU GUYS AND FOR ALL OF CHICAGO. THANKS FOR EVERYTHING. THE ONLY SPORT TO BRING ME TO TEARS!

GO SOX GO!

THE OLSENS

What a great team!!! You guys have played great together and I have enjoyed each and every game this year. It's fun to watch a team that plays as a team and you can see in each one of you how much you love the game. I had the pleasure of meeting Aaron Rowand last year and he is truely a great guy who went out of his way to meet me and my family when my father was ill. Aaron's thoughtfulness was one of my Father's happiest memories of his life. World Series Champions White Sox. I have been a fan my whole life and can't wait to see you all next year

2005 will always be remembered thanks to the Chicago White sox's there was magic in that field and in the hearts of all Chicagoans STAY TOGETHER "We believe" Love Yaya sox fan:)

BEYOND SPECIAL
As longtime Sox fan (and former north-sider) who is now in California, I attended as many games as I could at Comiskey this year and when the Sox were in Oakland. But mostly I kept in touch with Farmer and Rooney via the Internet. There were so many great memories of this season, but what will stand out most in my mind is the team spirit - and especially the eclectic type of team that epitomizes Chicago today: Jewish owners, black GM, Venezuelan manager, coaches that included many of my favorite former Sox stars, and a team of all types and colors, including Latinos, African-Americans, Polish-Americans, Japanese, Koreans, and surfer guys. Guys who didn't always fit in elsewhere, but found a sweet home in Chicago. It's a rainbow Jesse Jackson could love, and certainly a team every true fan of baseball could love. I have a box seat from when the old park was torn down, and sometimes sit in it as I listen to or watch the White Sox. As I sat there on Wednesday night as the team celebrated, my emotions were mixed - joy for the obvious reasons, but sadness because the wonderful ride was over. But never have I looked forward so much to April. Thanks to Ozzie and everybody. This season was a true gift that was - yes - well worth waiting for.

CONGRADULATIONS!!! I have been a fan since I was little and then on June 9, 2003, i moved to Kansas. This year i went to all the Sox vs Royals games and i recieved all the bad comments from the Royals fan but i told them to wait and see until the World Series. Now everyone here is Kansas respects me because i am a Chicago White Sox fan and i am proud!! This season was great! I would like to thank all the players and Ozzie! Konerko, I hope you stay!!

Thank you for this season, Chicago White Sox. We did it!!! I grew up in bridgeport on 37th + Parnell, just a few blocks away from Comiskey and the Cell. I would always get excited everytime I saw the fireworks going off because that meant something good was happening. I'm 21 now, and I know I haven't been around all 88 years, but I know my grandma would have gone crazy about this win. It was her house I grew up in, and even though that house is gone now, I know she's totally smiling down on you all.
Love Always,

A Sox fan till I die.

OOH RAH, White Sox! Congrats to everybody in that amazing organization that made it happen this year. What a team. I was born and raised on the south side of Chicago, and have been watching them ever since I can remember. I am currently in N.C. serving in the Marine Corps, but I was able to watch every single playoff and series game, knowing they were going to take it. They deserve it. So here is to our 2005 World Champion Chicago White Sox! That felt good to say. OOH RAH Chi-town! And don't stop that SOX PRIDE BABY! Congrats and thank you to the entire organization.
-Die hard Sox fan Joseph R. McNichols

Such chemistry in the team

was a big part of your

awesome success

Ozzie, thank you for the

great job you have done

Xoxo for everyone, you guys

are AWESOME!!!!!!!

Paulie you belong in Chicago with the WHITE SOX. Management, please don't let Paulie go. SCOTT YOU ARE A BABE!!!

Many lifelong Sox fans took pictures of their Dad
or Mom to LaSalle and Wacker Friday. My brother Al and

I went to the celebration - we were up front to the

left of the stage. We could not hear though as the

sound system wasn't good enough to overcome the crowd

and too many people were in front of us to see

anything so we watched on the screen. It was the

happiest moment of my life.I had a picture of my Dad

with me and lifted it up so he could see the

celebration. It was like everyone there belonged to

the same Family. We all looked alike - dressed alike

and talked of living our lifelong dream . Dad raised

me and my three brothers big Sox fans. The series was

emotional for me and my family as Dad passed in 2001.

My brother Rick had a Sox party for family and

friend's in his back yard after we mashed Boston. As

we were sitting aroud the fire I took the Lord's

prayer and turned it into "The Sox Prayer". After I

finished as everyone was in a crowd by the fire and

the beer - I read it to them - see what you think !

The Sox Prayer

Our White Sox

Who art in the Cell

Hallowed be thy name

Thy runs please come

Till thy game is won

In the Cell as it is on the road

Give us this day our Sox victory

and forgive us our trespasses

As we ask for another Cub's loss

and lead us not into temptation

But deliver us from the Yankee's

Amen !

For ours is

the Division

and the Championship

and the Series

Amen !!!!!!

P.S. I thought we had a chance but I but I don't think

I really believed we could do it. I thought we would

have trouble scoring enough runs.

Thank God the players did. Don't stop believing - I

guess.

Maybe God, and Dad's and Mom's were upstairs saying it

was our turn. I have chills again just typing this.

I'll never forget this - and I am doing my best to see

my son Sam becomes the the biggest Sox fan in Joliet.

Dear Mr. Reinsdorf:

Re: This One's For Chico !

As founder of the Chico Carrasquel Foundation

I know Chico was watching every pitch from heaven, I know he was in Ozzie's office for every playoff pre-game like always & he was in the press box for every playoff home game.

Chico is a national hero

in his beloved Country of

Venezuela and will be there

with Ozzie when Ozzie returns

home to Caracas.

In this foundation in his name

Chico will be remembered for

generations to come and by millions of poor kids from the barrios of Venezuela.

We will always know the man who opened the door for Ozzie & many young Venezuelans who desired to find a better life and future through baseball.

The same for Chicago and our

kids & grandkids.

Chico was a young boy from a poor family in a barrio of Caracas who became an all star

baseball player for the White

Sox and it was Chico's inspiration over the years that guided Ozzie Guillen and it was Ozzie who brought us a championship after 88 years.

So here's to you, Chico !

NOW you can rest in peace !

Chico's web site is:

Congrats seems not enough to send to you guys. But for the moment, it must suffice. Thanks for a great season, thanks for putting your all into the game, thanks for including my neighborhood (Pilsen) in your parade route. My kids were estatic and have been true Sox fans since their birth! VIVAN LOS WHITE SOX, VIVA OZZIE GUILLEN, VIVA CHICAGO!

CONGRATS TO THE TEAM!! YOU GUYS ARE THE GREATEST. I HAVE BEEN A WHITE SOX FAN FOR A LONG TIME AND TO FINALLY WIN A CHAMPIONSHIP, IT IS THE GREATEST FEELING IN THE WORLD!! I HOPE THAT ALL THE PLAYERS STAY IN THE WINDY CITY SO THAT WE CAN REPEAT AND BUILD A DYNASTY!! I CAN TALK A LITTLE SMACK TO ALL MY FRIENDS THAT LIKE THE YANKEES, BRAVES, RED SOX. I GREW UP IN CONNECTICUT RIGHT BETWEEN NEW YORK AND BOSTON AND HAD TO HEAR ALL THOSE PEOPLE TALK ABOUT THOSE TWO TEAMS AND NOW I CAN GO HOME WITH MY WHITE SOX GEAR AND TALK SMACK!! ENJOY THE YEAR AS CHAMPS AND LET'S STAY TOGETHER FOR NEXT SEASON AND LET'S DO IT AGAIN!! AND YOU CAN PUT THE CHAMPIONSHIP ON THE BOARD! YES!

2005 WOLRD CHAMPIONS BELIEVE IT... GOD BLESS THE WHITE SOX

Thank you White Sox. You have made history. I know that you have also made this Chicago native proud as proud can be felt. The teamwork was amazing. I taped the parade and rally because I live in Kentucky and couldn't be there to celebrate too, but in my heart you'll always be Number 1.

Well, this has been a long time coming, and never to a more hungry, deserving team. You guys left your heart out on the field every day. I have been to tons of games since I was only 6 yrs. old, now I am 33. My whole family is devoted to the team. And you guys showed that you were devoted to the fans. I had such a feeeling this year that when I was in Vegas, on Super Bowl weekend, I bet on you guys to win it all, thanks, for that as well. I have been so impressed by everyone over the years.
Frank-you are a great guy, my son got your autograph and you posed for a picture with him 3 years ago, it is framed up on his wall.

Aaron-I'll never forget waiting to get your autograph one kids day, you were teamed up with Carlos Lee, who was extremely late coming out, we were the first in line, but we were only there for your autograph, and I remember you saying that Carlos was running late, and some people behind us got out of line, my son said, we are here only for your autograph, because you are the best center fielder ever, you patted him on the head and said, thanks, gave him the autograph, and posed for the picture with him and my daughter, again this is up on both of their walls.

It just goes to show not only do you have a huge impact by winning the series and becoming World Champs you guys have an everyday meaning to a 9 year old boy and 15 year old girl, who see you everyday, and are reminded of what it is to be a role model, and an everyday person at the same time. Thanks, I look forward to another great season next year.

Iguchi-dude, you rock at second base, and in the second slot in the batting order. I don't think people realize that you had to learn how to bat in the 2nd spot, and you made Scott look good out there, by working the counts the way you did. God Bless the White Sox, and Congratulations on your season, and here's to next year!!!

WOO HOO YOU GUYS DID IT!!! I WAS RAISED A SOX FAN ( THE ONLY FAN TO BE IN THIS CITY) AND I HAVE RAISED MY SON TO BE A SOX FAN AS WELL! I RECORDED EVERY PLAYOF GAME SO IF YOU EVER WANT TO WATCH THEM JUST CALL ME :-)
CONGRATS AGAIN GUYS AND THANKS FOR MAKING US SOOOOOOO PROUD!!!!!

I think back to the '59 series and just how unhappy I was as an 11 year old die hard sox fan on the NW side of Chicago. I'm just ecstatic to feel the electricity surrounidng this moment--hope it's not the last.

Congratulations White Sox for doing the unthinkable! I've followed you guys for as long as I can remember(I'm only 20), and I just wanted to show my gratitude and appreciation for what you've accomplished. I remember going to the Old Comiskey to watch a game back in the day, as well as the thrill of seeing my idol Frank Thomas in person at the new park! I'd even changed my swing in seasons past to look more like Paul's!
I was only able to make it to one game this year, a loss to the Yankees. It didn't matter, though, because you guys had already made it a season to remember with your style of play and heart on and off the field. I can't remember a team that made me feel so proud to cheer for that I just have to marvel at the great group of guys you all are. I hope that you guys are still soaking this up because I know I will be for a very long time! Congratulations again and thank you all so much for the wonderful memories you've given me.

I was an eleven-year-old in Hyde Park the last time the Sox went to the Series. How SWEET this year has been. I've been out here in Central Virginia for many years now, and there aren't alot of Sox fans out this way. Watching this year on the internet has been great, especially hearing the new-found RESPECT this team has achieved with the national media. You've turned a lot of people into believers and made this believer a very happy fella. Go Sox!
Tom in Crozet, VA

What a season! What baseball! What thrills! The memories from this year from the opening day 1-0 win over Cleveland to the 1-0 closing victory over Houston will never be forgotten. To everyone in the Sox organization that had a hand in making this year a reality, my heartfelt thanks.

WAY TO GO SOX!!! IT FINALLY HAPPENED! 2005 WORLD SERIES CHAMPS!ALL THE YEARS THAT I TOOK MY MOM AND LITTLE BROTHER TO COMISKEY PARK....NEVER REALIZED HOW IT WOULD FEEL IF THE SOX EVER WON THE BIG ONE! NOW I KNOW...ITS INDESCRIBABLE!!! PLEASE SIGN PAULIE,AND KEEP THE TEAM INTACT(INCLUDING FRANK). LET'S NOT BE A ONE-HIT WONDER SONG, BUT A CLASSIC FAVORITE! THANKS FOR AN AWESOME YEAR! RAMIRO

I have lived in Colorado for the past 29 years. The saddest day of my life was when I moved away from Joliet when I was 8. I'm so happy for you guys and the city of Chicago. You have made all the jabs I have taken for being a Chicago fan worthwhile.I may live a thousand miles away from Chicago, but there is no question where my heart lies.
Debbie

Congratulations to a great group of guys. I was fortunate enough to attend the first 2 games of the Boston series, the second game of the Angels series and game 2 of the Atros series. I have never been so excited about a game in my entire life. The atmosphere in the park was unbelieveable. It was very hard to explain that feeling to people. However, I did have my doubts back in September, but thank God you all proved me wrong along with the other doubters. I can't wait for the season to start and the trash talking for the World Champion White Sox and the other team (Cubs)at the cross town classic. It is going to be great. Once again, thank you for such a thrilling October. Go White Sox!

All I can say is it's been a long time coming. I never had any doubts and thought that the slump may have been the best thing in that it got the bad games out of the way. Congratulations to the best team in the world!

Congratulations to the best bunch of guys to ever wear the White Sox uniform. You are the World Champions!I have been a fan for about 35 years but this team energized me like no other. You provided me with numerous memories from both within the ballpark and from my family room couch. Each and every one of you should be proud. You played the game the way it was meant to be played and demonstrated to our youth that anything is possible when people work together. I hope you all enjoy your time off with your families and I look forward to seeing you at Soxfest.
GO SOX!

I have been a White Sox fan since 1958 and to watch you guys win a world championship has been awesome. My family and I will always remember 10-26-05.Good Luck in 2006 and remember Grinder Rule#999 Win and let the other team die trying.BOB REESE FROM OAK LAWN,IL

My son and daughter reside in Broward county,Florida which was devastated by hurricane Wilma during the world series.Because the electicity was down and they couldn't watch any games I phoned in the inning by inning recap to them during the entire series.
I raised them to center on only clubs that work together as a TEAM and now they know the true definition of TEAMWORK and for that I'm eternally grateful to this great WHITE SOX organization.

I also thank you all for providing my family with perserverance during the terrible moments that they were enduring in the hurricane and the days that followed. May God Bless you all...can hardly wait to see you at the Cell next year. Patrick F. O'Brien

Congratulations White Sox!!

I began the Series as an Astros fan, but thanks to Neal Cotts, I am now a White Sox convert. I found myself secretly rooting for you guys after seeing all your "heart" during the 1st game, in spite of my family cheering for the Astros. And throughout the Series, my cheers got louder and louder.

I am so proud of you. By the end of the 1st game, I felt like I knew each of you personally. You played the game the way it's supposed to be played, and I am so honored to have been a witness.

Good luck to each of you in the next season, and to NEAL - thanks for converting me. I am so in love with you!

Suzanne Crowley, Mississippi

To the entire White Sox Organization:

Thank you so much for bringing baseball back to Chicago! With tremendous style and grace, you have united the city while rejunevating America's pastime in our great city. You have showed everyone the epitome of what a team really is! You are fantastic athletes and rolemodels for our children; they truly look up to you! Enjoy!

To Jerry,Kenny,Ozzie, the coaches and the rest of the 2005 WORLD CHAMPION CHICAGO WHITE SOX:( I still can't get over it!!!!):
Thank You for showing the world why we support you through the good and bad times.

That was an amazing romp through the series. The only thing that could top it is a repeat and since this is a beginning of a dynasty, we might as well start now!!!

P.S. Mr. Konerko, you, sir, are a class act. There aren't many people like you left in life, let alone sports.

Go Sox!!!! From a fan who has watched the White Sox players come through the minors - The AA White Sox affiliate - Birmingham Barons.
Congratulations to the White Sox organization, Ozzie, the coaches and the rest of the front office. This was a magical year and the players refused to lose. Let keep the team together and not wait another 88 years. Go Sox in '06 and let's repeat.

A Record for the Ages

World Series records stand as benchmarks of achievement. One however, will probably never be broken. The Greater Chicago White Sox of 2005 will go down in history, winning and clinching the World Series with two wins (game 3, one run in the 14th inning at 1:30 A.M. on October 26th, 2005 and game 4, one run in the 8th inning on October 26th, 2005) on the same day.

Will there ever be another World Series, a best of 7 challenge, that can be won in 3 days of play? No possible way!!!

Enjoy it everyone!

Especially you Jerry.

your biggest fan

To my beloved White Sox - several days have passed and I am still speechless. I knew all season that you guys would bring a WORLD SERIES CHAMPIONSHIP to Chicago. All those naysayers, supposed baseball analysts, owe the White Sox an apology. My parents raised me right, I've spent my entire 24 years enjoying White Sox baseball and I must admit that this is the first team that I've truly loved watching - each and every one of you! I think what made this season so great is that the team was truly a White Sox family. The rally was amazing, SOX NATION ruling the streets of Chicago! I will never forget this season--it was truly magical. Thank you again, I am already counting down the days to spring training!
