The White Sox congratulate Mark Buehrle on pitching a perfect game, one of the rarest feats in baseball.  27 up and 27 down... flawless!  So now, Buehrle is not only a World Series champion, the owner of two no-hitters - including the 18th perfect game In Major League Baseball history - and a four-time All-Star, but he also became just the sixth pitcher ever to record at least one no-no and a perfect game.  Number 56 has joined some pretty elite company - simply amazing.

Mark already received a congratulatory call from President Obama - now it's our turn.  Let us know your thoughts on Mark's historic performance, where you watched the game (and if you were at the ballpark, how cool was that?), what you did to keep your cool (or if you couldn't) as it got tense, how you heard about it if you didn't watch/listen - the works. We'll be sure to share these with Mark.

Congrats on your awesome performance! As a die-hard Sox fan who now lives in the Twin Cities, it isn't always easy to be a Sox fan. However, the sheer sweetness of your perfect game reminds me again why I cheer for the Sox. Heck, I'd buy you a beer next week when you guys are in town. Keep up the good work, and let's see another World Series championship come to Chicago!

Congratulations, Mark. Being in the crowd that witnessed your best baseball moment is definitely a memory that I will never forget. Keep having fun while doing what you do best: being the solid ace that you are for the White Sox.

Mark Buerhle, I just want to say that you are truly one of the best pitchers in baseball. Period. I knew something great was about to happen when I saw in the 6th inning that Tampa Bay had no runs or hits. I am sooooooooo happy for you. I hope that you win the Cy Young Award. You deserve it. Congrats! We are blessed to have you as a pitcher for the White Sox!

Congratulations on your perfect game Mark. I can't believe we chose yesterday to ditch work and go to the game - what timing.

I saw the interviews after the game and you are truly a class act - I'm glad you're a White Sox!!! Good luck and hopefully a Cy Young or Golden Glove is coming your way!

Jennifer

Congratulations Mark! I unfortunately was at work so only had the box scores to watch, but I did watch the replay and actually even DVRed it!
Keep up the great work, you are the best!

Congrats Mark on an amazing performance. I will always remember it. You are my favorite White Sox player and I hope to one day be able to see you pitch live. Now let's go out and get another division crown and a world series!

Congratulations Mark! It was an amazing to watch and I can only imagine how amazing a feat it was to accomplish. You truly are one of the greatest most talented, and sadly most underrated, pitchers of our time. Stick it to all the doubters and do it again, but enjoy this one because you earned it! GO SOX!!!

Way to go Mark! A stand-up guy giving us a stand-out performance. You'll be a White Sox hero long after you, I, or anyone who was watching is gone. Go White Sox!! Love you guys!

Congrats Mark!! You know you really make me proud and really give the kids on the southside someone to look up to. We all grew up idolizing you and once I got a little bit older, i started to understand that you were one of the most elite pitchers in all of baseball!! Congratulations on the perfect game, on the no hitter, on the homerun, on the ridiculously good record you have and most of all on your World Series Championship!! For you are truly headed to the hall of fame and are a legend in my eyes, and thank you Mark for giving us on the southside someone to believe in and someone to look up to!! Thank you Mark Buehrle!!!

Great job Mark!!!! I moved to Arkansas 2 years ago from Illinois and have been a White Sox fan my whole life. I wasn't able to see the entire game out here but ESPN did interrupt their show and aired the 9th inning live. I was happy to see achieve a perfect game. Go White Sox!

Mr. Buehrle,

That was awesome sir! I am so happy for you and the White Sox organization. I was working yesterday afternoon while you were busy pitching a perfect game. I checked my MLB At Bat app and saw the Rays' line, no runs, no hits and no Sox errors. It was the sixth inning then. I tuned in to the White Sox audio after that and listened to Ed and DJ call it the rest of way. I was like a little kid, cheering and fist pumping on every out. Congratulations Mark! Go White Sox!

What a great game. My girlfriend was wondering why I was so excited because I refused to drop the "P" word until the final out. When Wise went up over the wall and brought that one back, it was destiny. Mark has always been a great pitcher and a huge part of the Sox team effort. Yesterday, he was perfect. Congratulations Mark Buehrle on your moment of baseball immortality.

In-freakin-credible. Congrats!

Congrats Mark! It is players like you that make us fans of this crazy game! Best of luck for the rest of the Season!!!

From a Red Sox fan, nice job Mark! It is very exciting for baseball what you did! Nice job! Ralph

Mark, congratulations on the PERFECT GAME! I was at the game, literally hanging onto the upper deck rail, and when that final out happened, I just about lost my mind! My voice is hoarse, I feel hung over with sheer joy, and I am so proud to say that I am a fan of the greatest team in baseball!

You are an absolute credit to the White Sox, to the City of Chicago, and to all of Major League Baseball. Thanks for giving us lifetime Sox fans one more thing to cheer about!

Mark, what an amazing feat you accomplished yesterday. Unfortunately, I didn't see it live and only heard about it until after I got off work. Three phone calls in a span of three minutes. Luckily, I recorded it and watched from the 6th inning on and it was awesome! The no-hitter in 2007 probably will come second to this. I am happy to have seen a no-hitter and a perfect game as a fan of baseball.

Congrats Mark! I was watching from New York and couldn't believe what was going on, and I still can't. I'm so happy for you! Good luck the rest of the season and hopefully for many more seasons to come. I want to see you in the playoffs!
-Ellie

When you pitched perfection, I was just beginning my drive from California to Chicago. While I wasn't able to watch that game live, there was no better way to start my trip home than to hear you pitched a perfect game. I was upset that I couldn't see the game live, but I am so incredibly happy for you and so incredibly proud you're a member of the White Sox. As my MLBlogs username indicates, AJ rocks my White Sox, but you, Mark Buehrle, rock my White Sox as well. Congratulations!!!

First and foremost, Mark, congratulations on achieving this rare feat that is a perfecto and entering baseball immortality forever with the 18th perfect game in ML history in my 18th year of life.

I am so glad that I chose this day to go to the game with my good friend Kevin, and we were sitting in my family's season tickets- Section 145, row 32, seats 7 and 8 as we were watching history unfold. This game will stay with me for the rest of my life as it will for the other 28,035 in attendance.

As the game unfolded, I was already thinking "no-hitter" by the third inning, as Mark was mowing down the Rays with ease. I thought someone had walked, but I looked again at the batting order and then the phrase "perfect game?" flashed into my mind as early as the fourth inning when I realized that he had set down Longoria for the third out of the inning for the second time. The Rays were getting nowhere near a clean hit.

The tension started to mount for me when Buehrle was 18 up, 18 down in the sixth inning. He went through the seventh with ease, and then in the eighth inning it started to reach the breaking point. I was hanging on every pitch intently. Then of course, the ninth inning. I don't think I can explain what I was feeling in the ninth inning, only the other 28,035 in attendance can.

Truly amazing, Mark, truly amazing. It couldn't have happened to a better guy.

I don't think I can ever have a more perfect day until I get married or my children are born, whenever that may be. For now, this is as perfect as it gets.

WOW! Thats all that comes to mind. Congrats! We always knew what an ACE the WS have... now the rest of the baseball world knows.

I wasn't able to be at The Cell yesterday but was working from home. Had the tv on in the other room and was running out of the office every half inning until the 6th. Then I was glued to the screen. Couldn't stand still, called my Mom in Michigan, who was able to get it on the radio. And later found out my brother was at the game with his wife and 4 youngsters he treated to the game... what a memory for them! I was jealous but did have the honor of seeing your no hitter in 2007. Keep it up! We are glad you're one of ours!

I am a RED Sox fan living in CA and -- WOW -- that was wicked awesome. Coincidentally, I have some 2007 CA Merlot's with MB's picture on it... a 2007 "Mark Buehrle's 'Buehrlot'" if you can believe it!

Mark, you are truly a class act and the perfect game couldn't of happen to a better person. Congratulations! I'm truly proud to be a White Sox fan.

Mark, by far you are my favorite player, and have been for a while. Being a die-hard chisox fan in central ny gets aggravating, but i watch 90% of the sox games every yr on mlb.tv (greatest invention ever!), but this one was special. was amazing. I texted my buddy "i can't say it, but look at the stats in w sox game" in the 3rd, and we followed it closely, going nuts as you kept getting closer. After it was done, man i felt like i had thrown it, i was tired, 25 phone calls, and over 70 texts within 10 min. of you finishing it haha. I wore your jersey out that night to the bars, every1 was high fiving me...it was nuts. I can only imagine what you must of been going through. Anyways, congrats again, it was on par with watching game 2 of the world series for me, as a fan. good luck the rest of the way, bring home another title man!

I listened to the game at work, as I do all day games. Two of my three bosses were there, in their offices. I gave them updates on the score, as applicable, but refused to even whisper "perfect game" for fear of jinxing Mark all the way from Bridgeview, IL. I did, however, text one of my sons who's favorite pitcher is Mark. It was nerve-wracking for me, as I'm sure it was many others. Couldn't believe it was going to happen. When the game ended, I was pacing the office in disbelief when one of my bosses asked for the current score. I told him that the game was over, Sox won 5-0 and Buehrle had a perfect game. They were shocked. Came to my desk to hear the immediate post game comments. We watched the highlights on the computer. Mark and his family deserve all the kudos and attention they get. What a great game and what a great story! Thanks Mark!

Mark, I rarely go to White Sox games and I was begging my dad to take to me one and he preferred a day game because he did not want to come home too late. Boy am I glad we chose to go to this day game. It was just incredible to see you pitch that well at the Cell. Congratulations and keep up the good work. Hopefully you guys will once again win the division. Go Sox!!!

Stunning performance! I had a strange feeling after the no-hitter against the Rangers, that we had yet to see the best of Buehrle. I was getting ready to go back to work when I remembered "oh yea, Mark's pitching!" So I got back in my car, and tuned to The Score so I could at least find out what was going on. I hear commercials - so while I wait, I break out the phone and hop on mlb.com to check out the box score (Lucky enough to have had Mark on my fantasy team for the past two years, and was curious how he was doing), and when I see the zero's I figured my phone wasn't connecting real well. While the thing is reloading the page, Farmio comes back from break and it's the top of the 8th. Even over the radio you can FEEL the excitement in the air at the Cell. I seriously almost punched a hole in the roof of my car when Wise caught that ball in celebration! I'm man enough to admit that after the final out and the sheer joy emanating through those airwaves -- I was choked up. Mark said it the best "Never say never in this game because crazy stuff can happen." That right there is what makes this game the greatest game on the planet! A game where absolutely ANYTHING is possible! Way to go Mark. Congrat's on an unbelievable game, as well as the amazing success you've had in the past 5 years alone! Keep it up, buddy. The Country loves you! Enjoy it!!!! You sure deserve it.

Mark, my wife, daughter, and I wanted to congratulate you on your amazing achievement. We recently adopted our daughter from South Korea and this was her very first Sox game. We were fortunate enough to be on the field for pregame and fortunate to get tickets thanks to her uncle who works for the Sox. Our daughter has now been to two Major League games both of which you pitched. You have made history in both. We saw you hit your first career homerun against the Brewers earlier this season and now we had the chance to share this remarkable accomplishment with you. We can't begin to thank you for such a memorable first Sox game for her, something we as a family will treasure and make part of her story forever. Her first game certificate will always commemorate one of the rarest achievments a player can accomplish and a fan can witness. This couldn't have happened to a classier athlete and individual. Congratulations again!

Congratulation Mark! I was at work unfortunately and was watching the game via the internet and real nervous for you. I raced home and watched the re-run on Comcast Sportnet. Thanks for proving all the dorks like Peavy, and Oswalt wrong. Pitchers sure can pitch good at a hitters park. You outdid yourself in this one!!! Go White Sox Go!! Give Dewayne Wise a big kiss from me!!!

Congratulations, Mark! It couldn't happen to a nicer guy! I called a friend in North Carolina after the top of the 5th to tell him to start watching...that you had a no-hitter going. We, the faithful, always know you have a potential one going every game.

I hope you totally razzed AJ that he probably had delayed you getting that perfect game for 2 years. I'm sure he will be happy to be catching when you throw your second.

Congratulations Mark!!!!!

Couldn't have happened to a nicer guy. You are a very classy, gracious young man. You make a person proud to be a White Sox Fan.

Best wishes for continued success!

Conratulations on such a great personel achievement. As a life long White Sox fan you have done our city proud. the best is always in the Midwest. I had great fun reminding my friends why it is good to be a White Sox fan.

Thank you for providing me and the rest of THE WHITE SOX NATION thr thrill of our lifes. Wayne Tietz, The World's Biggest White Sox Fan.

To see a perfect game is something that I never thought that'd I'd be able to say I witnessed in my life. All I can remember from the game is watching the last out and feeling tears well up in my eyes from the pure joy of what i just witnessed. Like Ozzie said it could not have happened to a better guy!!!! Congrats Mark!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Congrats Mark! What a gem!

I live near where you hail from (St. Charles, MO; actually did live in St. Charles for a few years), and I worked on Thursday so the only thing I could do was follow the text play-by-play at mlb.com. That blast by Zobrist in the 9th created havoc for whoever was transcribing the action. For an instant, it was showing up as a Double and I went "OH NO!" But then I noticed a 1 in the outs column...

I picked the wrong series for my annual trip to USCF this year (I came up for the Dodgers series)! If I could enter a time machine, I would move heaven and earth to score field level seats for my Dad and me, just a bit to the 1st base side of home plate to soak in a wonderful moment in history. We would never have budged from our seats.

Truly a thing of beauty, Mark!

Congratulations, Mark! I threw out a 1st pitch in Sept. 2005, one of the thrills of my life, and have never forgotten how nice you were, especially to my little boy and girl. I called them in from playing ball in the backyard to watch the 9th inning. They covered their eyes, they shrieked, they jumped up and down (me, too). Yes, it's only a game, but it provides a wonderful distraction during hard times, and you set a great example for everyone in how to enjoy life, treat people well, and remain humble. Your kids are lucky to have such a great dad. Her's hoping you get as much joy from yours as I get from mine.

Mark,
Congrats on an amazing feet. You are a class act and I have always been proud to be a White Sox fan and am proud of the way you represent us.
Thanks for the thrill Mark!!!

Man oh man. Mark Let me tell you that game was by far the best game since the World Series Games!!! I want to congratulate you for getting a Perfect game :). I want to thank you also for giving us that great show to watch :). I also wanna say Great job Josh Fields!!! That Grand Slam was amazing! :D Way to go Guy! DeWayne Wise, you scared me when you went to go rob them of a homer. Haha. Great Job White Sox. :D I'm so happy to have watched that game. And Let me tell you AJ, you really called that Perfect game. that was amazing too ;). Every game whether you guys win or lose, know that you are greatly appreciated. =) We love you guys! Good luck!!
PS. Nice plays at second and third Alexei and Gordon. :)

<3 Kelly (You're Number One Fan) Haha.

Congrats, Mark, on your perfect game. You're a great pitcher and a classy individual. No doubt you deserve everything you achieve. Great catch, too, by DeWayne Wise, helping you out in the ninth inning. Way to go, Sox! I've been a Sox fan all my life, due to my dad, who died in 1984, way before you guys could reward us all long suffering fans with a World Series. He would have been proud of you, Mark.

Beauty Buerhle, Congratulations!
Can you please give my (2) nephews Henry Jon and Kenny Lee pitching lessons?
You have the best pitching motion (love the point in your foot), ball placement and speed adjustments.
It is pure baseball joy to watch you pitch - perfect game, no-hitter or just a plain old win.
Thank you!

Congrats, Mark! Thanks for once again being the best baseball has to offer. It's truly an honor to count you as one of our own.

Best of luck for the rest of the season...on to capture the division!

Christy Maes

Mark,
I have to tell you that I feel a real connection to you. On Thursday, July 23, 2009, I was getting ready to leave for my son Conor's kidney transplant surgery at Northwestern Hospital in Chicago. I was scheduled to be the donor kidney for my son. As I was getting ready, I decided to wear on of my favorite good luck charms-my White Sox t-shirt! I have been a fan since 1958, the day I was born, because my dad would not have it any other way! The first thing my daughter told me when I came out of recovery was about your perfect game. Needless to say, I was very happy about all of our outcomes that day. My son and I are doing well and I hope that you will be basking in your success for a long time. Thanks for bringing all of us Sox fans such joy! You are my hero.
Fan forever.
Jackie McCarthy

Congrats, Mark! What a great game! We were at the game and what a game it was! Way to go! What an accomplishment! Keep it up! Thanks! Best of luck for the rest of the season!

CONGRATULATIONS MARK ON YOUR PERFECT GAME. IT'S A MEMORY THAT IS PRICELESS. I KNOW I SPEAK FOR ALL WHITE SOX FANS THAT WE LOOK FORWARD TO A STELLAR CAREER WITH YOU AS OUR ACE. THIS MAY BE YOUR 1ST PERFECT GAME AND SECOND NO HITTER, BUT THERE COULD BE A COUPLE MORE FOR YOU BEFORE YOU RETIRE. GOD BLESS AND CONGRATULATIONS!!!
PS I ALSO WANT TO SEND A "YES" TO DEWAINE WISE FOR HIS SPECTACULAR CATCH, THAT IS ONE FOR THE AGES. THANKS FOR THE MEMORIES "LET'S GO SOX"

Congratulations Mark on your perfect game. It was really fun watching this spectacular feat unfold. Even my husband and son, who are Cubs fans, watched with me. What an incredible catch by Dewayne Wise. Thanks for staying in Chicago.

Let me add my heartfelt thanks for a masterful game you gave us devoted fans that i will remember forever. My dad took me to my first White Sox game when I was a kid and the cost was 50 cents to sit in the bleachers! This gives you an idea of how long I have been following the team. But, to think I watched a game only duplicated 18 times in the whole history of baseball is SO special! Thank you for all the joy you have given to so many of us. May God continue to bless you and yours. May I suggest a pendant with date and perfect game info on one side, and the other side the White Sox logo with a diamond to commorate the game to your team mates. So special to them forever.

I was in the waiting room of a doctor's office when I got a text telling me in the 7th inning of what was going on. Pulled out my phone and started watching on MLB.com and let the guy across from me know what was happening and he pulled out HIS phone. The receptionist turned it up on the radio for us. Called home and told my son to DVR and watched it when I got home. INCREDIBLE!!! You are the light of our baseball life Mark. Congrats to you and thanks for giving us Sox fans so much to cheer for these past few years.

Congrats Mark on this great baseball achievement! With all the negative publicity in baseball, it's nice to see a great accomplishment like this being celebrated around the media. My mom and dad took my kids to the game and what a treat for all of them. Just hearing my dad talk about it was worth me not being there! My husband and I were glued to CSN all night watching the replays over and over again. We also enjoyed the Top Ten on David Letterman last night - nice job! (D Wise and Josh too!)

Congratulations, Mark, on your perfect game!! You are the perfect person to pitch a perfecto - a great role model for fans of all ages, and a superb athlete.

I was at work in California, following on Gameday. About the 6th inning, I realized no one had reached base, and I started to get excited and nervous. I phoned my brother in Chicago, to tell him to follow the game. I took my phone outside and started listening to the game on WSCR. I could hardly breathe, and I was shaking. When Kapler hit the long drive in the top of the 9th, I think my heart skipped a beat or two. When the announcer said the ball was caught, I was so relieved, and then overjoyed with the third out.

We Sox fans are soooooo proud of you!

Congratulations, Mark! What you have achieved couldn't have happened to a nicer, more deserving guy. Thanks for all you've given us Sox fans. Good luck in the rest of the season and your career--I'm sure both will be stellar.

Hey Mark it Kimberly aka Kim-Buehrle. I just wanted to say congratulations on the perfect game. I can't believe it really happened! And then to break the record of the most consecutive outs, wow! You are truly one of the best pitchers to ever play the game. I've always been such a big fan (as you know) because I always knew you were such a great pitcher and now the rest of the world knows it too. Again congratulations and I hope the rest of the season is just as magical.

Love your number one fan,
Kim-Buehrle

I was in Columbus OH with my daughter's travel softball team for the World Series. Thursday was the opening days events (home run derby, running the bases, outfield accuracy contests, parade, etc, etc.) After we were done with those we piled in the car to head to Ohio State to walk around and check it out. There were five of us in the car, 3 girls, another parent and I. There were two other cars with us. While in the car one of the girls told us what was going on as she gets espn updates on the Sox on her phone. She kept reading them to us. We were dying in the car being unable to find it on the radio and obviously no TV. In the 9th inning we called home to my son who was watching on TV (in the mean time we called everyone - my dad, my nephew, the other at home siblings, parents, etc). We put my son on speaker phone and had him call the game for us while he watched on tv (Farmer or DJ, look out). We were all screaming and yelling in the car. The girls were flipping out. Just as the game ended we pulled into a Buffalo Wild Wings for lunch before we began walking OH State. We begged the hostess and our server to turn off the stereo and to turn up the volume on the TVs. They obliged and there we sat for 90 minutes listening to and watching the post game stuff. It was awesome! Simply awesome.

Congratulations on Perfection Mark. You are OUR Perfect White Sox Ace.

Thank~You and congratulations for my personal best game to witness. I thought you had already made my best game when you hit your home~run, so I was fooled, and I put it at 2nd best game. Either way, much enjoyment from both games. You are the best!!!!

Congratulations Mark, it seems during the worst of times you manage to give Sox fans something to cheer about for the rest of the year. Class act from start to finish, thank you for a lifetime of memories, and something to tell future generations of Sox fans about. Cheers.

Congrats and much respect on your perfect game. My mother and I were lucky enough to been @ the game that day. What a awesome experience. Also back in 2002 you caught the first pitch from one of my mothers cousins, a older gentleman named Marion Sciable. He showed me the pictures and autographed ball from that day and said you were a class act. I believed him . Good karma to you. Thanks for sharing your talent with us.

Mr. Buehrle,

I'm a Yankees fan and I just wanted to say congratulations on an incredible accomplishment. Perfection on a baseball mound for an entire game is an amazing thing to witness. What you've accomplished is a great thing for the sport. Once again, congratulations.

MARK...WHAT A FEAT.. IT IS ALWAYS A PLEASURE WATCHING YOU PITCH...A WORK OF ART. I COULDN'T LISTEN TO THE GAME BECAUSE I WAS SO NERVOUS. TURNED THE RADIO TO HEAR THE LAST OUT AND IT COULDN'T HAVE BEEN MORE EXCITING. THE FEATS THAT YOU HAVE ACCOMPLISHED IN YOUR ILLUSTRIOUS CAREER ARE OUTSTANDING. HOW COULD LIFE GET ANY BETTER, EXCEPT TO WIN THAT CY YOUNG AWARD AND GOD KNOWS NO ONE DESERVES IT MORE THAN. THANKS FOR THE ALL THRILLS, CHILLS AND GREAT FUN AT THE BALL PARK EVERY TIME YOU PITCH.

Governor Pat Quinn visited the White Sox on July 30, 2009, to declare Mark Buehrle Day in Illinois.

Way to go Mark! Couldn't happen to a classier guy or a better representative of the team and the city. Thanks for letting me observe (from my office computer) history, and DVR it later that night.

Congratulations Mark. Who would have known 20 years ago when we were camping in the Boy Scouts, running around fields and starting small camp fires, that you would have been a major league baseball player. Now you have surpassed many others who have come before you and have done what only 17 other pitchers have done in the history of baseball. Absolutely remarkable.

Mark,

I think I have finally come down to Earth after witnessing your historic feat. I was lucky enough to be at the game with some of my dearest friends and we were all so happy that we cried. We are so very, very proud of you Mark -- to have you on our beloved White Sox and representing the great City of Chicago. Thank you so very, very much for the joy you bring to true baseball fans everywhere. I even had my friends and family from Detroit kissing your picture when I went to Detroit the next day for the series against the Tigers. They know a great athlete when they see one. Your humilty is what makes you even greater. We hope you will be with us here in the Windy City until your days on the mound are over.

Mark, Congratulations on your historic achievement. We watched your performance from home that day with increasing wonder, anxiety and glee. As the parents of two young adults, both of course huge Sox and Mark Buehrle fans, we are even more pleased and appreciative of the type of man, husband, father and son you are. You set the right example for your teammates and fans. We will continue to watch and cheer your career as it goes forward and will support your personal decisions down the road whatever they may be. Wishing you continued success and all the joy and happiness life may bring you and your family. We'll never forget the thrill of your perfect game. Mike and Jan Conrad.

Belated congratulations to Mark Buerhle on his perfect game last month. I saw the game on tv; it was such an exciting moment for me; I also saw the 2007 no-hitter on tv; moment just as exciting. Mark, your place is clearly made as one of the greatest pitchers in White Sox history; may your career success elevate you into the MLB Hall of Fame. Congratulations again.

Congratulations Mark!

What an exciting time to be a White Sox fan. I was watching the game on tv, and called my son and his friends in from outside so they could see this with me. It was a special moment. We attended game 1 of the Angel series when you were honored. What a thrill it must have been to share it with your parents, wife and kids. It couldn't have happened to a nicer guy. Continued success in whatever your future holds. Thanks for the memories!

Littlejett

Belated congratulations Big Man!
You are one of my favorite ball players of all time. Your work ethic and attention to detail are second to none. You are truly the fastest pitcher in the Majors and it is always fun to watch any game that you pitch. I also appreciated your honesty when you opened up to the Chicago media this past spring about being homesick and possibly wanting to retire within a few years. I definitely understand where you're coming from and I hope that you do whatever makes you happy in the future. You have already given Chicago a World Series Championship and I hope you will get another ring or two before it's all said and done. Thanks again Mark for making me proud to be a White Sox and Chicago sports fan!

yea mike GREAT JOB MAN!I'm a die-hard sox fan from Chicago and what you did on the field was magic!I'm the only sox fan in my family and this was the best ever!your one of the greatest mark and I cant wait to see the sox go all the way!

Congratulations Mark on throwing a perfect game. How sweet is it and how sweet for us true fans to enoy right along with you. I was in Minnesota at the time on business and found out after I returned to my hotel room. I was so excited and I just jumped up and down in my room. You deserve everything that comes with being on top of the world for a day and being "PERFECT"! Go Go White Sox!!!!

I would like to say that I am an Illinois resident and I am so glad that I had the opportunity to witness another part of history produced by Mark. I was in Minneapolis on business and purchased tickets for the night Buehrle pitched. Little did I know that he would set the record for retiring 45 straight batters. While I know the game did not turn out like we would have liked, it was still the best to see history made in another city. Thank you Mark and I wish you continued success.

No one deserves it more than you. congrats, mark. Even if you go to the cardinals, il still watch you stick it to the cubs. Im proud that you represent the sox.

What a great game that was !! Congrats to you Mark and to your teamates for having your back on defense. Every thing has to go right and it did. Unbelieveable ! I was there and still can't believe it. Now let's get the crew back on track and win this thing.

Mark,

Congratulations. Every year our family takes a trip to visit a couple of ballparks as I try to see them all. The Sox game on July 23rd was my 12th team, and boy, did I pick a good one! Throwing a perfect game is a once in a lifetime moment, and so is seeing one live. Thanks for the awesome memory!

PN - Toronto, Ontario

Congratulations Mark!

Wife and I were THERE with our two sons from Lafayette, Indiana THAT NIGHT with 28,003 others! Handed tickets, parking pass, and elevator pass from an older lady the night before at Torres' debut. Must have been divine intervention by an angel or something because WE got to see YOU make history! THAT was the most awesome game that I ever expect to see in my life and I still get goosebumps to think of the whole scenario unfolding so that my boys got to see history made! Go WHITE SOX!

Congratulations Mark!
